The series of waterfalls that make up Hraunfossar originate from many small streams and rivulets that flow through a large lava field above the falls. The area shown here is only a small section; the falls extend for almost a kilometer along the Hvítá river.
Hraunfossar waterfalls are a series of countless cristal clear rivulets springing from the edge of a lava field and flowing into Hvítá river, Borgarfjörður, Iceland.
Hraunfossar (Borgarfjörður, western Iceland) is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 metres out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river from ledges of less porous rock in the lava. The name comes from the Icelandic word for lava (hraun) and the word for waterfalls (fossar).[1] The Hraunfossar are situated near Húsafell and Reykholt and lava-tube cave Víðgelmir is close by.

A female Brown Spiketail taken in the Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area. Many females were seen and photographed at four different areas of the PRF&WA. They were found both in their natural habitat and out in the fields close to woods. Three different females, including this one, and one male patrolling, were found in their natural habitat of a fen with a small rivulet stream running through it. The male was patrolling this small rivulet stream.

A wet walk into Evercreech Falls. The falls were a letdown, lucky the view of the rivulet along the way made up for it.
Private aerial from Skaftafell Terminal over Skeiðarársandur, a vast plain of black sand and ash covered with numerous small rivulets to the coast. I changed the green colours to copper and the glacial streams just seemed to pop from the screen!
Morning clouds at sunrise as the last high tide drains around the rocks and sands of Currumbin. Night lights still glow at Coolangatta on the horizon.
Another shot taken from my rainy car window while stopped and waiting out the storm on the divide.
I love how the rivulets of water streaming across the glass have distorted the landscape and bent the windmill. The only things I have manipulated are the color and texture, the image itself is SOOC.

"Glencoe is considered one of Scotland's most beautiful locations, offering breathtaking mountain views, hiking trails, waterfalls, and a picturesque village that serves as a great base for exploring the Highlands." Even on a rainy day, the beauty was striking and obvious even to a first time tourist. The RIver Coe can be glimpsed in the foreground.
There is scarcely any writer who has not celebrated the happiness of rural privacy, and delighted himself and his reader with the melody of birds, the whisper of groves, and the murmur of rivulets.

Beauty is easy to find, just step outside! Wear socks over your shoes so that you can walk across the skating rink that used to be a patio. The grass has crystallized, and crunches loudly in the stillness. The old maple tree is wearing a tiny little world, with icy rivulets and green moss throughout the ridges and valleys. The inhabitants are sleeping now, buried beneath the frozen layers…dreaming of a time of warmth and renewal. The dangerous journey from home to the frosty winter wonderland will be worth it, though! Just don’t forget your socks….
With a few obvious exceptions, all of my images involve automobiles, and reflections on them. None are AI.

Mount Hestur in the Westfjords of Iceland, in Hestfjordur to be specific, apparently creates an entire wall of waterfalls, smaller and larger rivulets that flow and rush down the mountain side and gather by the side of the road to end up in the fjord. Quite a sight to behold.

Many rivulets and shapes form and move downward as the rain accumulates on the glass.
