The Toorongo Falls are near Noojee in the State of Victoria, Australia. The light that gave life to this scene lasted less than two minutes before the fog gathered around once more and the moment was gone.
LENT/NIJMEGEN - Between Nijmegen and Lent makes the Waal a sharp turn. The river here on this place is very narrow. At extremely high water the River could hardly drain the riverwater in this bottle neck. Project “Ruimte voor de Waal” has solved this problem. The dyke at Lent was moved 350 meters inland. In the wide flood plain a secondary channel (Nevengeul) helped to drain the river water.

Delightful family groups of elephants were fun to see in the Shire River at the Mvuu Camp in Malawi.

From 4 to 9 every morning, different types of fish caught from the Bay of Bengal and other sources -- are brought to the port city's Karnaphuli ghat from wholesale depots. The business is the busiest during night times, taking the numbers to millions.
At the break of dawn, hundreds of massive trawlers and fishing ships emerge from the seas and rivers at the shores carrying their catches for the day. Each large trawler can carry about a tone of fish. About 220 bazars and six warehouses are set to sell their fish every day.
On the side of the bank of Karnaphuli river, this colossal ghat upholds the biggest fish market for marine and native fish in the port area known as the Chattogram Fishery Ghat. Almost every district of the country imports fish of different categories from here on wholesale and starts their trading amongst the locals.
Founded by the Portuguese almost 200 years ago, this fishing ghat is now thriving in the heart of this city. Located in Lusai Kanya, at the mouth of the Rajkhali and on the bank of the Karnaphuli, it has been made its official location recently from the former location on Iqbal road in Patharghata.
Hilsa makes a festive entrance to the markets of the ghat during its peak season. The ghat also sees the busiest trade at this time of the year. Fish weighing even up to 200 kilos are brought to the market and sold either in whole or in pieces.

Mistaya River in Banff National Park just above where the waters drop into Mistaya Canyon.
Mistaya River arises in Peyto Glacier and flows through a series of lakes - Peyto, Waterfowl, Mistaya and then flows into the North Saskatchewan River 2.5 Km downstream from here.
The tall peak in the background is Mt. Sarbach. The mountain is named after Peter Sarbach, a mountain guide from Switzerland, who guided the mountains first ascent by J. Norman Collie and G.P. Baker in 1897.

Took a day trip up to the river above Leavenworth, WA. This picture is a 2 1/2 minute time exposure.
MONFORTE DE LEMOS (Espanha): Ponte Velha.
A tradição aponta para origens romanas, mas o que se tem por certo é que foi reedificada no século XVI por Pedro Rodríguez Remberde.
Walking Calgary, Alberta's Bow River pathway a photo of the cool Peace Bridge is not easy to pass up - why not take more than one shot?
Some people think Santiago Calatrava’s Peace Bridge resembles a giant Chinese “finger trap", others call it a "twizzler” and some cardiologist call it, “the stent.”
Calatrava defines the bridge structure as a helix developed over an oval cross section with two clearly defined tangential radii creating an architectural space within - got that?
No matter what you call it, it is a striking piece of sculpted steel. The bridge opened 24 March, 2012.
Calatrava is a structural engineer, born in 1951 in Valencia, Spain and is renowned for his bridges; train stations and museums.
