The vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro that is full of life and energy. In Brazil, soccer isn't just a sport, it’s a way of life in every Brazilian heart. I captured this image while on a walk at Ipanema Beach. I wanted to give this place a sense of feel from the local perspective.
The bananaquit is a species of passerine bird of uncertain relation. It is tentatively placed in the tanager family. Its classification is debated, and it is often placed in its own family: Coerebidae. It has recently been suggested the bananaquit should be split into three species, but this has yet to receive widespread recognition. This small, active nectarivore is found in warmer parts of the Americas, and is generally common.
Bananaquit, (Coereba flaveola), bird of the West Indies (except Cuba) and southern Mexico to Argentina. It is sometimes placed with honeycreepers in the family Emberizidae (order Passeriformes); however, because of disagreements over its taxonomy, many authorities assign the bananaquit to its own family (Coerebidae) or consider it incertae sedis, meaning “of uncertain position.” About 11 cm (4.5 inches) long, the bananaquit is blackish above and yellow below, with, generally, white stripes near the eyes and white patches on the wings. It uses its sharp curved bill to probe flowers for nectar; sometimes it eats insects and fruit. It uses banana-leaf fibre in making its domed nest.

Pelo segundo ano consecutivo fui como fotografo voluntário registrar mais esse encontro da Associação Saúde Criança Renascer com mais 15 outras espalhadas pelo Brasil.
Esse ano contou também com ajuda voluntária do Wellington Nogueira, fundador do Doutores da Alegria do Brasil como Mestre Sem Cerimônia.
O evento serve para reunir todas as associações, que tem como único propósito ajudar crianças carentes e suas famílias a se reentruturarem e possibilitar com isso, a cura das crianças (quando possível) de uma vez por todas. Reduzindo assim os gastos públicos com o tratamento desses pequenos brasileiros e brasileiras.
Porque não há nada mais prazeroso que ser voluntário e/ou ajudar uma boa causa.
E encerramento com um show de Ballet das meninas do Ballet de Santa Tereza.

A glass-walled cable car capable of holding 65 people, runs along a 1,400 m (4,600 ft) route between the peaks of Sugarloaf and Morro da Urca every 20 minutes. The original cable car line was built in 1912 and rebuilt around 1972–73 and in 2008. The first cable car goes from a ground station, at the base of Morro da Babilônia, to Morro da Urca at a height of 722 ft.and the second to Sugarloaf's summit at 2,790 ft. Total lift time is 3 minutes.
