Isaiah 61:11 King James Version (KJV)

There is no denying the bravery of those who risk life and limb to save complete strangers from a burning building.
Of course, when those brave fire fighters enter a burning building, they do so in the expectation, or at least the hope, of survival.
It is a different thing altogether to willingly suffer and die for others, let alone for those who hate you! Yet that is precisely what Jesus Christ did for us...
In due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The Presentation of the Lord / the meeting of Jesus Christ in the Jerusalem temple with the righteous Simeon and Anna the prophetess / in two frescoes by V.M. Vasnetsov.
On the right side of the iconostasis, on a column, is a fresco, in which Elder Simeon, a dilapidated old man with white hair, holds the swaddled Infant Christ in his arms. In his eyes turned to Him, there is the triumph of the vow fulfilled by God: “Now you release your servant, Vladyka,” his senile lips whisper. The middle-aged, emaciated face of the prophetess Anna is stern and mournful - she thinks about the sword that will pierce the soul of the Mother of God.

З правого боку іконостасу центральної нави, на грані приалтарного пілону, фреска, на якій старець Симеон, старий з білим волоссям, тримає на руках сповите Немовля Христа. У звернених до Нього очах його, - торжество виконаноі Богом обітниці: «Нині відпускаєш раба твого, Владико», шепочуть його старечі уста. Немолоде, виснажене обличчя пророчиці Анни суворе і скорботне - вона думає про той меч, який пронизує душу Богоматері.
За легендою, праведному Симеону на той момент було вже більше 300 років. Старцю Симеону було пророцтво, що він зможите отримати спокій та померти тілько тоді, коли побачить Ісуса Христа.
** Анна Пророчиця - християнська свята, юдейська праведниця і пророчиця, згадується в Новому Заповіті. Бог обдарував її даром пророцтва, вона була однією із достойних і побожних жінок Старого Завіту.
Анна була другою особою після Симеона, що зустріла Ісуса в храмі під час Стрітення Господнього, про що свідчить Євангеліє від Луки:
«Була й Анна пророчиця, дочка Фануїлова з племени Асирового, вона дожила до глибокої старості, проживши з мужем сім років від свого дівоцтва, удова років вісімдесяти й чотирьох, що не відлучалась від храму, служачи Богові вдень і вночі постами й молитвами. І години тієї вона надійшла, Бога славила та говорила про Нього всім, хто визволення Єрусалиму чекав. (Лк. 2: 35–38)»
У той день, коли немовля Ісуса його батьки принесли в Єрусалимський храм, щоб принести жертву за первістка чоловічої статі, що народився, як це наказує юдейський закон (Вих. 12:12-15), в ньому була Анна, яка досягла на той час 84 років, «яка не відходила від храму, постом і молитвою служачи Богові день і ніч» (Лк. 2:37).
Після того, як Симеон Богоприйменник промовив благословення, Анна також «славила Господа і говорила про Нього всім, хто чекав на спасіння в Єрусалимі» (Лк. 2:38).

The saying is that the sun shines on the righteous and the spotlight certainly turned on this couple by "the tree", at Dovestone Reservoir.
In my humble opinion, this is one of the recent best images along with "Waiting" which has an orange tree in the center.

Myserie Roleplay - Supernatural Urban Roleplay
Cedar Creek, Natural Bridge State Park, Virginia

One of the first scenes you see when you pass through the old entryway for Natural Bridge State Park and head down the stairs is this peaceful little alcove quietly displaying the deceptively gentle force that formed the Natural Bridge in Virginia. Cedar Creek certainly doesn't look like much here, but over millions of years it helped form a 215-foot-high (66 m) natural arch that Thomas Jefferson, before he became our 3rd President, proclaimed to be "the most Sublime of nature's works".
One would think the Natural Bridge itself would be more famous; in 1774 Jefferson actually purchased it from King George III (yes, that King George whom he rebelled against 2 years later; and he only paid 20 Shillings for it!) Before that, a large stone engraved with "G.W." and bearing a surveyor's cross there at Natural Bridge proves that our 1st President, George Washington himself surveyed the bridge when he came through in 1750. Nor were they the only U.S. Presidents who visited the structure; both James Monroe (5th President) and Martin Van Buren (8th President) stayed at Jefferson's log cabin retreat there.
The bridge is even mentioned by Herman Melville in describing Moby-Dick. Yet in spite of all that history, Natural Bridge was only made a State Park, not even a National Park, as late as 2016.
The park features a lot to do besides the creek and bridge, but I still find this spot here to be the most memorable due to its tranquil setting. The power of water, even when flowing gently.

This brilliantly-coloured mushroom, Hygrocybe coccinea or righteous red waxy cap, was hardly a centimetre tall, it grew in deep moss on a small rocky outcrop, in the lawn of Middle Beach Resort in Tofino.

Went to see a friend of mine’s play last night and Bucky Heard of The Righteous Brothers was in the audience. John Wedemeyer, invited him up to sing a song with his band…and he also invited me up to play a couple of songs with along with, Bucky. It was a blast! I took a few pictures before I got up to play.

This 1965 version by The Righteous Brothers made it number five on the US Hot 100. Bobby Hatfield sang lead on this song, and it was one of the last songs that Phil Spector produced for the Righteous Brothers..

In His right hand Christ holds a cross, in His left an open Gospel. From behind His right shoulder, the face of the Mother of God looks out.
