I'm a little sad that DS didn't bother correcting his eyes, but oh well. He is still very handsome but the paint on this one is definitely grouchier than the paint on my Wedding one, but that's just individual variances and might not affect them all. His Ball attire is so nice, and just as well made as the wedding version. I love the silver embroidery and the touches of light blue. I'd really love a green coat Kit, but I'm still shocked we're getting this one, so I won't get greedy (but really, Disney Store, a third wave of Cinderella dolls would be VERY appreciated).

Custom Cinderella Live Action Kit doll - With Blue eyes !
It's been bugging me FOREVER that the Disney Store got Kit's eye colour wrong on his dolls. I mean "Hello", his eyes are REALLY very blue in the movie, so I haven't the foggiest idea what idiot didn't pay enough attention and decided to make them brown for the doll ?
But anyway, yesterday I decided to do something about this little gripe of mine. So I repainted the eyes of one of my Kit dolls. Here's a quick phone-piccy comparison shot with a standard Kit alongside ... My repainted one is the one on the right here by the way, in case you cant tell, hehehe :p ;)
It was certainly a BIG challenge painting something this small. After all this was only my 3rd ever repaint. But I'm relatively happy with how he turned out, and at least he looks a little more cheerful now. Plus he has less of that creepy serial killer sideglance he had going on before.
The only question now is ... Do I do the same to my other 2 x Kit dolls ? ... Hmmmmm ?? :p ;)

Excluding one great buy in November, this is my first doll purchase since the Designer Sleeping Beauty set. I've had a really long day and even though I should have went to bed hours ago I had to open up what Santa brought me. Overall I'm pleased but there are some problems.
The bad:
Rubber legs, which are alright, but I prefer the articulated ones where I can display with both heels and flats. And Wedding Ella and the Godmother have those hooker shoes.
The separate bodice thing doesn't work too well, especially on the blue ballgown.
I don't like how the asymmetrical flower detailing was done on Wedding Cinderella's bodice at all. Why it couldn't have been printed on the organza, I don't know.
The Prince is excellent, but I hate his side-glancing eyes. He should be looking directly forward, saying he'd very much like to see me... er, Ella again.
The Good:
Ball Cinderella and Stepmother have new shoes! And the glass slippers don't look like they came off of a streetwalker. Let's hope that if DS is willing to do an original shoe mould for what is most likely a once off series, they'll start doing them for their regular dolls, too.
The fabrics are great, and they cut no corners in trying to make the dresses too narrow. Wedding Ella's skirt is the best. Also, Godmother's skirt is pretty accurate it just needs some net panniers (which I may try and fashion) to make it drape right. I still can't get over the amazing fabrics.
The faces are great, even if they are on big heads. The hairstyles are wonderful too, and all but Ballgown Cinderella have very 'set' hairstyles.
I think, but I'm not sure as I'm too lazy to compare, but I think they have a new torso mould. Or it's an older one that hasn't been used in awhile. It seems different somehow.
Now I don't want to go to bed, I just want to play with my new dolls. But I have to get up in 5 hours so I better sleep and dream of a wish my heart's making- that DS and Mattel will make a second wave of dolls from this film.

Over Junior Homecoming
Homecoming was a joyous occasion for the Ever After High School students. Coronation ceremonies took place before the game. Queen Ella was crowned by football captain Prince Kat, and was presented with a bouquet of red roses. The homecoming activities were concluded by a blazing victory for the Junior Ever After Stallions over the Robin Hood Little Johns. The final score stood 27-13.
Prince Kat a man for our times says “LOVE IS LOVE” when asked about crowning Ella who is not of Royal lineage. “The time to judge who can love whom is outdated.” The Royal Crown supported Prince Kat’s stance and many in the kingdom were pleased that times have changed & equality &

I hand sewed her a new dress with materials closer to the LE 500 doll. I added about 1,500 rhinestones to it (and a few to her tiara) and 5 butterflies.
For Kit all I did was paint his eyes blue, lol.
I'm not crazy about the way her dress is sewn into the box, so I'll revisit it one day. I tried to make it look like the LE 500 presentation, but nope. I'll have to improvise...

I made Cinderella a new dress to resemble the LE 500 doll's. The only thing left is to sew on the 5 butterflies, paint Kit's eyes blue, and then sew the dolls back into the box.
It was my first time making a 12" doll dress. It was NOT fun!
Next up, Fairy Godmother.
Next up for repaint and restyling are the step sisters Drisella (as portrayed by Sophie McShera) and Anastasia (R-furthest from the Prince as portrayed by Holliday Grainger) from the Live Action Cinderella and the Prince (Richard Madden). Noel Cruz (www.ncruz.com) will repaint, restyle, reroot the Prince and then the set for Cinderella will be complete... or will it? Where will the madness end?

I'm a little sad that DS didn't bother correcting his eyes, but oh well. He is still very handsome but the paint on this one is definitely grouchier than the paint on my Wedding one, but that's just individual variances and might not affect them all. His Ball attire is so nice, and just as well made as the wedding version. I love the silver embroidery and the touches of light blue. I'd really love a green coat Kit, but I'm still shocked we're getting this one, so I won't get greedy (but really, Disney Store, a third wave of Cinderella dolls would be VERY appreciated).
