I've been cooking from "Falling Off the Bone" by Jean Anderson and loving it.
I made the Jugged Beef and the Pueblo Posole with Pork and Green Chiles and now this. They've been quite excellent. I'd say the Jugged Beef was spot on, and the posole could have used the usual garnishes on the side. The ribs are awesome too, but I did add a little more sugar and ketchup to the sauce because I thought the vinegar was too strong.
Aside from having trouble finding a non-reactive pan to set the ribs on and practically starting a grease fire, I would call this a success. :D
These are the Ribtips socks (a free pattern from Threadbear Fiber Arts) in variegated Cascade Fixation. Started July 2004, Completed October 2004.
I tried Jack's Stack's rib tips and brisket -- my favorite two forms of bbq. Side dish was cheesy corn bake -- which was inferior to the same side dish at RJ's two days earlier. The meat, however, was delish!
