As the end of another year fast approaches, I like to look back on the adventures I have had through the year. I have to say that this year has proved to be one of the better ones. Meeting up with a number of friends an ticking off a few of my bucket list shots.
This was a particularly good morning when a gaggle of togs met up for a very early morning shoot overlooking Chrome hill.
BabyTimber Rattlesnake. This one crawled around in the top of the shrub he was in while I shot photos from various angles.

Not a great image but I was so glad to see 4 goldfinches together -- first ones for 2 years -- that I had to try a shot.
So...This is my lifer California Kingsnake, hiked up on the crawl today. I don't think I've been so excited over a snake in years. Just perfection! It's also my first west coast Lamp and I have to say I'm VERY impressed.
