This little part is a story. It's a ducted carbon fiber headlight lid for an MX-5 (very similar to the one found on my car). I designed it for an online business to sell. This is the prototype. Sadly, it doesn't fit very well on my car. It is a beautiful thing to hold in your hands though, and weighs nearly nothing.
Taken for class with dave makeup assignments, week 1.4 "lines and curves". inside the lightbox, manual macro lens used, 1/50th, f5.6, ISO 400.
My coworker Charlie owns this car. It has been in his family since it was purchased new in 1949.

Yes. This is me, snowed in. Stuck in Chicago. Boo hoo. Nothing to do but stay warm and shoot toys indoors.
I've been trotting outside every few hours to brush off the softtop and plastic rear window. Too much weight might not be good for the delicate window, and we've had a LOT of weight. I brush off about 6" every time. ick.
