Em vez de comprar um caixote do lixo novo para o meu atelier, reutilizei um caixote de papelão feio!! Comprei um papel bonito, forrei o caixote e voilá! Lindo, económico e amigo do ambiente!!

 

Instead of buy a new trash can for my craft room, I brought a beautiful paper and reused a ugly paper box! Beautiful, cheap and environmentally friendly!

A lone cabinet handle gets a mobile second life on this modest steel plate.

 

Fits a 1 1/4" belt

This buckle was plasma cut out of 1/4" mild steel plate then textured. It's heat patina brought out blue to light blue colors in it's lines.

 

Fits up to a 1 1/4" belt.

This buckle, named for the source of it's focal point, has become one of my most fun wearable sculptures to date.

This buckle was made from half of a common door hinge and some stray hardware. It features a latch pin on both sides so that it can be reversed. Which side do you like better?

Also referred to as "Golgi Apparatus" to some. This buckle was cut from 1/8" mild steel plate

 

Fits a 1 1/4" belt

The handle of what seems most to be a kitchen drawer handle is repurposed on this mild steel belt. The belt received a straight peen texture with a couple blows from the pall peen to resemble wood grain.

 

Fits 1 1/4" belt.

This buckle was cut from 1/8" mild steel plate. It was then polished and given a checkered rust pattern. The reflective surfaces that were not rusted then recieved an orange, red, purple heat patina.

This piece of mild steel plate was textured with a stone wheel and given a heat patina from each side. The vibrancy of the colors changes with the lighting.

 

Fits a 1 1/4" belt

Frame was custom made to house this image. It was cut, polished and patinated to resemble railroad tracks and ties.

This is possibly my favorite buckle to date. It was unfortunately claimed during a battle in the thunderdome at Black Rock City 2010. With any luck, one of the death guild crew is enjoying it.

This cheese wedge shaped buckle was plasma cut from 1/4" mild steel plate. It then received a blue heat patina.

 

Fits a 1 1/4" belt

This buckle was cut from 1/8" mild steel plate. It was then cut to resemble a contained burst of energy. The edges were polished to receive a red, purple heat patina.

 

Fits 1 1/8" belt.

This buckle was cut from a plate of 1/8" steel and textured. The heat patina brings out some maroonish reds with blue corners.
