My good friend Amy made me several of these reusable produce bags for the market. I think of her every time I'm at the market using them. Amy, I though of you today while shopping for green beans. :-)
This old van was never driven by our family. I dont know why we have it. It is one of those old ones with the bed in the back. Well dad modified it. It is now being used for the storage of his lumber. As you can see two particularly long pieces have poked all the way through :)

This was a street of shops that sold things made out of discarded tires. I love the dedication to reuse.

Zip away reusable shopping bag. 1 of 4 that I'm making as Christmas gifts for my sons pre-school teachers.

A couple of years ago my husband was throwing out his boots. I snatched them up and told him I had a project I wanted to do. The boots sat in my storage closet for a couple of years.... until this spring when I happened to find the type of plants I wanted at a yard sale. I was so excited and came home and threw my boots together. Finally they are being used again, but with a new purpose!
Cheating the law that makes conventional plastic bags illegal, this supermarket has decided to print 'Reusable' on their bags, and make them of slightly heavier grade plastic. They don't offer paper bags anymore (although a note pinned on the checkout says that they are too expensive, and customers will be charged extra if they want double bagging in paper).
These bags are no more reusable than the thinner ones most supermarkets offer. This is just a trick, exploiting a loophole in a law. Hopefully somebody will close that loophole and prevent this kind of abuse of a law that was intended to be good for the environment, not make things worse.

Master' students from Lund University in Sweden conducted academic project with SOUL! The aim is to combine applied art with ideas of Sustainable development.
'EASY-R' - five girls from China, Sweden, India and Ukraine initiated project which idea is to reuse fabrics and to raise societal awareness of the environmental impacts of the clothing industry. The impact of 'fast fashion' is huge as people’s changing wardrobe creates disposal of clothes either at the landfills or is sold overseas. Thus in September last year EASY-R started collection of old cloth among their friends in order to produce something new and hopefully useful out of "trash". Moreover, in December they provided set of workshops teaching young people what they can do with their damaged/stained T-shirts, socks, tights, jeans etc.
Here you can see implementation of some ideas: shopping bag made out of old T-shirt, necklace and bracelet form broken tights, some Christmas decoration made from different types of stuff (sweater, anorak, pillow and broken tree twigs).
EASY-R hopes that You will find some inspiration in their work and will Make Change Happen :)

Reusable Fabric Grocery Bags. Just like the plastic bags. They fold and zip up into an attached pocket.
I *finally* made the reusable shopping bag from Keyka Lou. I have had the pattern for SO long and finally decided to make it today. Love it :p I think I'm going to have to make more of these ;)
This is a vintage dress that I altered to include the top of an old cowboy boot. I also added elastic straps and panels, and cut away portions of the old dress, in an attempt to make it fit more actual humans. Like many vintage dresses it had a narrow waist designed to fit over undergarments that aren't really worn that often any more. As a result the dress is too big for me now - thank goodness I was planning on selling it anyway. I have a big sale this weekend and can't wait to see it on someone with boobs.
No, not Daffy Duck.
I read this article the other day and found an old film canister I could use to give it a try.
It worked nicely to soften the image.
Reusing and recycling just for fun.
