A golden Sunday morning, she pulled out her old leather case — the one that holds her record player, her gateway to the past. Sitting in her shorts and socks, surrounded by soft pillows and scattered vinyls, she held in her hands an iconic album — Madonna’s.
No phone. No noise. Just her, the hushed quiet of the room, and that suspended moment. She was about to set the vinyl on the turntable, the needle ready to bring back the first notes , the ones that followed her through the years.
Every song was a memory: a burst of laughter with her girlfriends, a dance in her bedroom, a first heartbreak soothed by a guitar solo. She wasn’t collecting records. She was collecting moments.
That morning, she wasn’t trying to escape the present.
She was just reconnecting with the version of herself who used to sing without a care in the world.

Shizuka means calm, silence, a balance that never needs to stand out.
Hakodate is like this: a discreet city where the past quietly surfaces without longing.
Like this tram, moving slowly and proudly, never disturbing the present.

the smell of something fried.
And a menu that hasn’t changed
since Elvis was alive.

I really cool moment I captured while going to a local retro car event. The car of this company of old-timers seemed to have broken down. I really like how the lady is popping her head out to check how stuff are going.
I was really far away, with a not long enough lens, so I had to crop alot. Did not have time to get closer. Due to the low res, I edited the pic to look like an old film photo.
Shot with Nikon z50 with Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 @70mm.
I have never taken the ocean for granted, but with the way things are now, it's even more special to me. This was taken from the boardwalk in Long Beach. I wasn't comfortable going down on the beach area, as most people in LB aren't wearing masks, but it was wonderful being this close. I miss it so much. The waves, the salty air, the cool breeze.
