My new ship and the old one finally together!

The Laser Thrust is also on Lego Ideas, if you want you can head over there and support!

I'm back at designing habitats. Here's my latest, for the Retro Space Hero minifigure from CMF series 17.

I made this moving PacMan display that uses inter channel figures. The actual IDEA project page has gifs that show the moving of the figures in the build. The movement is done with a manual crank on the side of the stand which can be seen on other images in the project. The ghost figures on the stand are interchangeable with the figures you see on the side.

The crew is on a journey to the foundations of the planet! Will they escape and return home?

A MOC made for Brickcon, and my first time incorporating lights into a creation. Pretty fun!

The initial reason to do this was to have a micro retro baseplate like in the old ClassicSpace sets, made with old castle quarter arch pieces laying on the side - four make an almost perfect circle

It's Jeracs wonderful design. Normally I'd construct it my self but I have nothing to add to this beautiful creation. Blue parts however made some modifications necessary

Here we have the retro Lego set 497 in a micro version.

The Sommerfugl is a light research vessel, designed to carry out scientific missions both in-atmosphere and at the boundaries between atmospheres and space. An array of onboard sensors and instruments allow the Sommerfugl to extract and process a wide variety of data, including the collection of atmospheric samples, spectroscopy, identification of resource deposits and much more.

The rear section of the vessel is detachable, with the smaller craft being suitable for exploration of cave and tunnel systems, and to increase the chances of survival if the vessel comes under attack from Blacktron forces.

Powered by Galcom Kestrel plasma/fusion hybrid thrust units, and featuring the latest in electronic pilot aids, the Sommerfugl is a joy to fly, and is an essential part of any planetary exploration fleet.

Sometimes wheels just don't cut it for getting around your assigned outpost and you want something a bit more stylish than your standard Mus rover. If that's you, then look no further than the LL 27 Myg!

A sleek, classy hover scooter, the Myg is at once modern and full of classic charm. A truly timeless design. This personal transport is light and nippy, and is guaranteed to turn heads.

The year was 1995. The Aquanauts conquered not only the sea bed, but also our little hearts. This is my 2024 Aquanauts base MOC.

Far more deadly than its namesake, the Manta is a fast, powerful and highly-maneuverable fighter craft that forms the backbone of the Blacktron fleet. This ship is built around a tough, solid core that provides optimum pilot protection, and power comes from the same units found in the Fantail escape craft; however, they are tuned slightly differently to provide better efficiency and comfort for regular flight, rather than the urgency of fleeing a battle ASAP.

Offensive capabilites are provided by a battery of laser cannon: two fixed guns in front of the cockpit, and two rotating guns mounted at the wings. These rotating units can be programmed to lock on to targets, which is especially useful in intense battle situations.

You don't want to get caught by this ray's sting!

Enter 1994’s Saucer Scout to round out my Spyrius collection

This set felt ubiquitous as a kid. I had it, and I’m pretty sure most of my friends did too back then. It’s about as simple yet effective as LEGO can get with a spacecraft!

So for the line that gave my generation the first leg prints, with Major Kartofski, LEGO doesn’t give too much diversity among the Spyrius crew (outside of the Big One).

Enter the Spyrius-verse, anyone?

As a huge fan of Spyrius, I’m very happy to have this little set back in the collection.

More LEGO retro spaceships and rovers to be featured soon!

The Fantail is one of the smallest craft in the Blacktron fleet, but its light weight combined with large thrusters give it impressive acceleration and maneuverability.

It was designed to serve as a more controllable equivalent to an escape pod, so pilot comfort wasn't a priority, but it's a tough little craft that should at least get you to the nearest moon in one piece.

The Tadpole is commonly seen at spaceports and outposts, particularly ones that are just being built or are expanding. Often working alongside the C.A.T.T. cargo transports, the Tadpole can get into tighter spaces than many other industrial forklifts, which makes it highly valued.

Double feature of 1997’s small droid ships, the V-Wing and Cyber Blaster enter the LEGO City!

These tiny old sets were heavy on cool intricate prints. All about the minifigs here, but the V-Wing has some really fun classic space elements and shaping!

‘97 picks up with leg printing, which hadn’t been seen in a space theme since ‘94s Spyrius droid, Major Kartofski. And we’ll see leg prints on their human counterparts next time I look at RoboForce.

Happy to have both the Techdroids from this theme back in my collection, which Techdroid do you like better- red or blue?

1990’s Cosmicopter (Particle Ioniser) looking amazing after all these years

This is about as far back as I go with my nostalgia for Classic Space theme. Very strange and fun space helicopter!

Great angles and use of storage space for a medium sized ship. Neon elements practically glow in the sun!

The droid build up is classic, funny recently building The City of Lanterns (#80036) and seeing the similar build in the Citybots

LEGO #6956 M:Tron Stellar Recon Voyager or

Rescue Star Cruiser, from 1990

New video up on YT: youtu.be/oUNsrVnlAKs

Not sure who designed this, but a good chance Jørn Thomsen was involved

Great M:Tron prints. Strange fence lattice elements. Cool ribbed convex corner panel

And loads of space bits and trans neon green

A tough, reliable Viper, mostly used as escort vehicles for larger ships or VIPs.

This is a long-overdue update on a very old MOC of mine. I recently got this lovely trans-yellow canopy piece which inspired me to revisit this build. Just about squeezing a couple of shots in for NnoVVember!

I will post some more pics soon.

A common sight in spaceports and on landing pads all over the galaxy, these units are used to re-charge the harbulary batteries found in many large spacecraft. They rely on refined Octanium to provide the necessary juice for the batteries, but new, more sustainable alternatives are being researched.

Part of a larger project, a labor of love based on the Lego Rock Raiders from '99! More to come.

1991’s Blacktron II little battle pack, The Two-Pilot Craft. What a name.

This fun little craft is about as basic as it gets. No printed pieces, other than the minifigs, but the weird thing has charm!

Blacktron II is a great space sub-theme with the black, white, and neon green color scheme. Really screams retro LEGO to me.

Acquiring this set was really just to grab a couple more of these minifigs for cheap, but I’m happy with this funny little craft.

More ‘90s LEGO to be featured soon, including more (larger) Blacktron II

The final part (for now) of a Fabuland mini-series of builds!

Let’s be honest, the Knights Kingdom LEGO theme wasn’t the best. Sure, it might invoke nostalgic feelings and they had great play features, but as a building experience the sets were quite bland with large elements that just looked aweful.

This gave some friends of mine the idea to recreate some of the sets. Unfortunately for me, I was having lunch with them at the time and they decided to drag me into this idea.

Since there were 5 of us, we picked the 5 worst sets in the theme, and got to work.

These are all of our remakes together.
