This photo was taken at the Rathmines Catalina Festival. The festival is an annual celebration of the rich history of the WWII RAAF Base. Some very old caravans were displayed on site and this one looked like something out of the Flintstones from the outside and inside it had the retro fitout to suit!

A lovely camera, more than 50 years old, this is a Fed 2 (b) rangefinder, made in the USSR. The lens (Industar i-61) is at least 10 years younger than the camera body, but I am waiting for a contemporary (collapsible) lens to arrive. Shutter speeds are 1/500 - 1/25 plus 'B' and the 1/50 and 1/25 speeds are a bit dodgy, but this might just be down to lack of use. At the time this camera was new it had a longer and therefore more accurate rangefinder base than the Leica as well as an integrated viewfinder and rangefinder, which the Leica still did not have. Apart from the Fed 1, which was a 'straight' copy of the Leica II, this is definitely the most beautiful of all the Fed cameras.

had a fun shoot with Veronica and Sara, where I tried out some attempts at making some retro shots. Both Sara and Veronica have several times been posing for me and letting me play with ideas, so loads of thanks to them

Hier musste eine alte Exa500 von 1966 als Modell herhalten. Die Kamera ist übrigens noch immer voll funktionstauglich!
Went for a walk into town the other day and found a couple of shops selling basically dusty old things! I've no idea how they survive at the moment, they certainly looked like nothing had been touched for years. Fascinating places though, I took these shots of a couple of things in the window, I'd have loved to have taken some pictures inside too.
