Best guess is that this is a male Andrena sp. I found it resting in the morning in a desert chicory flower (Rafinesquia neomexicana). Mojave Desert, California.
This lady has been bedridden for nearly a year. She would like to go now, and one can understand why. She sees and hears little, and is dependent on her friends visiting for quality in her life. One has to admire her ability to take interest in what is going on in her family and the world. (She still likes her food!)
She likes to be read to, but I can only manage fairly short sessions.
This was taken in quite low light, resting on the bed end -- so don't expect great sharpness, but I didn't feel it needed it?

I noticed a dragon fly resting on the very tip of a evergreen tree in the neighbor's yard next to the fence. It seems like most of the time when they land on something, it is high in the air......at least for me. I did manage to get a few shots of it before it got tired of me 'bugging' it and flew away.

A Small Indian Pratincole (Glareola lactea) was enjoying Sun inside their roosting ground by the river side.
