Los restos de esta torre se encuentran en primera linea de playa,dando el nombre a la plqya que la alberga como playa de Beniesma .Pertenecio al conjunto de torres de defensa litoral como otras en las localidades de Almenara,Oropesa,o Burriana que se construyeron para la defensa de los embarcaderos y los poblados costeros de las repetidas incursiones de los piratas y berberiscos.
Esta descripcion sirve para las dos fotos.

It was worh the climb to sit on this bench and be inspired by the view.... looking out over Howe Sound.
Note: In December 2019, I discovered that my lens had been incorrectly reassembled by a previous owner with the rear element reversed. This made a quite pleasant soft focus lens but my early shots are not representative of it's true performance. Correctly assembled, it provides far better IQ.

Personal note: Warm thanks to those of you that stayed with me during this Leopard series. This "Leopard at Rest" image is the last of the series for 2018. It is rare that you get to photograph the same magnificent animal for an extended period of time. The lighting fast changes of mood from napping to aggressive warnings demonstrated how complex their reactions could be at a moment's notice. I only wish I could follow him for years to come…
