On hand were firefighters from the Stanislaus Hotshots, Engine 312, Engine 314 and Helitak 517. The piles are a result of mastication work done in previous seasons as part of the Widlfire Crisis Strategy/Social and Ecological Resilience Across the Landscape Project. Between Monday December 2 and Wednesday December 4, the crews were able to remove approximately 48 acres of piles.
