The Jefferson Lab LOVEwork sculpture is made from Advanced Photon Source (APS) light source vacuum chambers. The “girders” were shipped from Argonne National Lab to JLab, so the magnets and other components could be repurposed for use on the new Electron Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
The LOVEwork sculpture was created for the 2024 JLab Open House and coincides with Virginia Tourism Cooperation’s iconic Virginia is for Lovers slogan and the other 300+ LOVEworks signs located around the state.

Hall C is 150 feet in diameter and 60 feet tall. Hall C houses a High Momentum Spectrometer and has been used extensively for large-installation experiments. These are stand-alone experiments requiring unique or highly specialized detectors, magnets and targeting systems.
Experiments run in Hall C have covered a broad spectrum of topics, including the structure of pions, kaon particle production, excited states of the proton, and duality.

This event is JLab’s version of "Shark Tank" - Quark Tank! SLAM is short-talk competition challenging post-doc contestants to present a compelling 3-minute presentation on their research that a non-specialist can understand.
The winner will be Jefferson Lab's representative that will compete against contestants from the sixteen other national labs on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 15. There, contestants will educate U.S. government policymakers and their staff about the key role our labs play in the nation's innovation ecosystem and their impact on the nation.

While the aircraft says "F-107A", my references indicate it never got out of prototype ("Y") status. The YF-107A competed for the contract for a tactical fighter-bomber that was ultimately awarded to Republic Aircraft and their F-105. After North American lost the contract, two of the three prototype aircraft were transferred to the National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics/National Aeronautics and Space Administration as test aircraft, while this airframe was transferred to the National Museum of the US Air Force, where it remains.
