The color green represents envy and jealousy. The phrase "green with envy" is a fairly common saying that is said to come from Shakespeare's metaphorical use of color in both Othello and The Merchant of Venice. In Othello, Iago uses "green-eyed monster" to describe the jealousy that threatens to drive Othello mad.

An attempt to pictorially represent the concept of sound and, especially, eerie noises echoing through a haunted door or gate…
The shot was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's troop of echoes which came flowing through the door in his poem lines of ‘The Haunted Palace.’

"Monsanto” is a layered artwork that uses the fragility of paper to represent the vulnerability of human health against powerful chemical agents. As someone from St. Louis, the former home of the powerful agricultural and chemical corporation, the name 'Monsanto' resonates with a complex history of innovation and controversy - a local titan whose influence stretched globally.
The work critiques the pursuit of profit at the expense of public health and environmental integrity, serving as a stark reminder that the advancements designed to 'feed the world' can carry an untold cost. Monsanto is a lament for the unseen, a call to awareness about the chemical landscape we all navigate, whether we realize it or not."

This is the poem displayed on the table:
The Fallen Soldier's Table
by Jon M. Nelson
The rose stands for the family with faith and love for those who serve,
They're held with the highest respect for that's what they deserve.
A yellow ribbon is for the loyalty waiting for those serving abroad,
As we pray that they're watched over and kept close to God.
An inverted glass represents that the fallen can no longer toast,
They cannot be an honored guest or such a gracious host.
A lemon wedge represents the bitter loss of the fallen soldier's life,
That causes so much pain like the sharp edge of a knife.
The salt is put in place for all the loved ones' shedding tears,
For the soldier is no longer present to help calm our fears.
The candle stands tall for the blood that the soldier shed,
It holds a place of honor and represented in red.
The empty chair symbolizes the missing comrade who isn't here,
Now it stands alone for the voice that we can't hear.
-----------------------------
The Trajan's Kiosk, located within the Philae Temple Complex in Egypt, dates back to the reign of Emperor Trajan around 100 AD. This magnificent structure likely served as a colonnaded hall or entrance area to the Temple of Isis, blending Roman architectural styles with Egyptian influences.
Featuring four rows of six monolithic granite columns supporting a roof, the Trajan's Kiosk is adorned with intricate reliefs depicting scenes from Emperor Trajan's life and deeds, including sacrificial rites and imperial representations.
Its multifaceted function likely encompassed serving as a portal or entrance hall for pilgrims visiting the temple complex, as well as hosting ceremonies associated with the worship of Isis, possibly including processions and ritual observances.
Moreover, the Trajan's Kiosk may have held symbolic significance, potentially representing the connection between the Roman Empire and the Egyptian cult of Isis, highlighting the interplay of cultures and beliefs during that period.
For travelers exploring the Philae Temple Complex, the Trajan's Kiosk stands as a testament to ancient craftsmanship and the fusion of Roman and Egyptian traditions, offering insights into the religious and cultural practices of antiquity.
Although painted to represent a USAAC OA-10 Catalina based in Halesworth, Suffolk in WW2, this is actually an ex Canadian example which served the RCAF as '11005'.
The original 433915 aircraft operated out of Halesworth airfield in the role of air sea rescue during 1945 and on 30th March that year after landing to provide help to of all things another stricken flying boat the aircraft lost use of one engine. With high seas that meant she was stuck just a few miles off the Dutch coast. Whilst bobbing around on the surf on the first night a pair of ME210's strafed the Catalina to such an extent that she was listing and no longer airworthy. Four days later after enduring constant seasickness and regular immersion in freezing sea water the crew were rescued by a launch sent out from Great Yarmouth. A second launch then destroyed and sank the Catalina rather than have her fall into enemy hands.
For the above reasons the preservation society chose to adopt the identity of the sunken sister aircraft. The preserved aircraft is now based at Duxford with Catalina Aircraft Ltd.

En la previa de la segunda fumata, una gaviota se posó sobre la chimenea de la Capilla Sixtina;
Excerpt from the plaque:
Still Life: Flowers in a Vase, Gosol 1906:
Just as the bouquet of flowers on the side table in The Blue Room referred to the still lifes Picasso exhibited in 1901 at Galerie Vollard, this work is also autobiographical. Here, the table holds a green earthenware bowl, a white vase, and a pinkish chocolate pot. The bowl, handmade in Spain, refers to Picasso. The glazed chocolate pot, made in a French factory, symbolizes his lover, the artist Fernande Olivier, whom he met in Paris in 1904. The union Picasso stages on the table is repeated in the flower arrangement: the local wildflowers are a reference to Picasso, while the cultivated roses represent the sophisticated Olivier.
The water represents a drainage from one lake to another. Very many of the lakes in Manitoba are connected together by, rivers or streams.
These can be used for wilderness canoe trips lasting from several days to weeks. However, sometimes one has to portage canoe and equipment to get from one group of lakes to another. Under these circumstances it pays to travel light.
Protea is both the botanical name and the English common name of a genus of South African flowering plants, sometimes also called sugarbushes or fynbos. In local tradition, the protea flower represents change and hope. The extraordinary richness and diversity of species characteristic of the Cape flora are thought to be caused in part by the diverse landscape, where populations can become isolated from each other and in time develop into separate species. The main vectors responsible for the transfer of pollen in protea cultivation are birds, insects, and wind. Some Protea species exhibit both self-pollination and cross-pollination as a method of reproduction. Cross-pollination is preferred, though, as a method of reproduction because it provides genetic diversity in the population. When cultivating proteas, breeders use hand pollination as a controlled method to transfer pollen from one flower to another. Proteas usually flower during spring. The general structure of their flower heads consists of a mass of flowers on a woody receptacle. The ovary is protected by the receptacle, thus is not seen when looking at the flower, but the anthers are present at the top of the flower, which can then easily transfer the pollen to the vectors. 17529

This image represents the western part of the supernova remnant. I have taken this image under not completetly darkened skies. First I took the Ha images, then after 2:00 am (moon was set), I took the OIII data.
For blending channels, I used "Pixelmath" in Pixinsight. This is the "classical" HOO image. H-alpha to red only and OIII to green and blue. The red is coming out best this way, I think. When I take e.g. 30% ha in the green, the red is more orange like.
I also made an artificial luminance image and added the ha channel to the OIII channel. After that, I did my common processing steps (DBE, Deconvolution, Morphological Transformation, HDR,Unsharp mask...).
I am qute happy with the data I have captured in just 3 hours.

Duck is the common name for numerous species of waterfowl in the family Anatidae. Ducks are generally smaller and shorter-necked than swans and geese, which are members of the same family. Divided among several subfamilies, they are a form taxon; they do not represent a monophyletic group (the group of all descendants of a single common ancestral species), since swans and geese are not considered ducks. Ducks are mostly aquatic birds, and may be found in both fresh water and sea water.
What has become an annual event that just keeps on keeping on, is the Auto fest Spring car Nats held in Shepparton. Here is a link to the event organisers page, autofest.com.au/.
The event has been going for over 30 years, and for many there is no better way to spend the weekend than with like-minded people, as the entrants burn rubber with an excess of horsepower, that is thankfully quite obscene : )
There was and is everything from the go to woe, handling events, drifting, and of cause burn outs! Burnouts bouncing of the rev limiting, literally hitting the redline burnouts. How much rubber do they burn, enough so I can smell it from my house nearly a mile away : ) PS the smoke signals might be cultural appropriation, so some one should bring along a Pontiac and make it officially ok : P
Jack Danniels www.jackdaniels.com/en-au has a bar, so Tennessee is represented, although in the main part, not much American iron turns up at the event in comparison to the Australian contingent and Japanese cars.
V8s are the flavour, although you might be surprised like I was this year to see a Honda S2000 turn up, a pleasant inclusion, with one of the all-time great 4 bangers in it.
Black snot is a thing, that is if you can handle the close quarters action! You might like to take some year plugs, even then for about mile you will still be able to hear the cars at it.
As a car enthusiast I enjoy the day, friendly people getting their thing on, and having a great time.
PS. Make sure you drink lots of water, and keep hydrated!
