Great story.... I "planned" on sleeping in til at least 6:30am because I was up at 3am yesterday and my body was tired. Well, I got up at 5am anyways and wanted to go back to sleep but I couldn't. It was raining when I woke up so I knew i could sleep for an hour at least. Didn't happen. My body went into autopilot and got me out of the house by 530am.
Since I was up, my plan was to go to the office and finish a flyer that was due last nite and edit some photos. In my mind I planned my route - from the house straight down Marine Drive to the office in Adelup. Didn't happen. Again, my body went into autopilot and I ended up at Westin Hotel. There was no rainbow when I got there. There was just some colorful clouds I kept my eye on and I wanted to capture this cross with the clouds behind it. I started shooting (still no rainbow) and a thought popped in my head about the booksigning for A PORTRAIT OF GUAM and how I am soooo unprepared - i still have to hang some posters there and I need to do a 2-minute speech - and I sooooo dislike public speaking. I'm a "behind the scene" kinda guy and am nervous when speaking to groups of people. Not even 15sec. after the thought popped in my head did this rainbow appear out of nowhere. Literally, as I was shooting the cross I took my eye off the viewfinder to preview the shot to check on the colors and thats when I saw the rainbow! I guess its the Lord telling me He's with me and that I just need to have FAITH and trust in Him. So, that's what I'll do. Have a great morning everyone and God bless you!!!

This is an old one...just wanted to ad this though! Want to get a 17-55 or 24-70 2.8 which do you nikonites prefer?
I am leaning toward the 24-70 as I will more than likely go full frame.
