At the end of a journey of 7 months from South Africa to Asia,
I found myself in Yangon, Burma.
This is May 1st 2008, the day before the passage of cyclone Nargis, one of the strongest of the Decade. The country is then cut off the world.
Involuntary witness of the wrath of nature, I go and meet the local people in distress, during 7 days.
This series consists of portraits, live, during the encounters that took place by chance : Women and men, little used to reveal.
Despite the circumstances , a relative serenity emerges from most portraits .
My message: the desire for a world of balance and sharing, respectful of nature and human.
