Photoshop amusement, made from scratch. The two of these are pretty much the same base, with a couple different filters applied, different colors, and different overlays.
Original is 1440 x 900, MacBook Pro desktop sized.
Here is a revision of the Foundation and empire rendering. I fixed the large round flak explosions to smaller more realisticish ones. I also fixed the aliasing issues with the engines on the Kalgan ship

The album photos are taken mainly with a Canon Powershot X60HS and a Canon EOS 6D, and this image is one of many thousands covering various subjects and locations, and mostly rendered with DxO Optics Pro Elite, see Food and Drink and all other photos The image falls under a Creative Commons licence. I experimented a little bit with the unsupported shadow rendering features of release candidate 1.23.0 (118378)
With a barely acceptable frame rate of 4.5, I was able to make pretty pictures with shadows included (those aren't shadow prims.) Unfortunately there's no way I could find to take snapshots of the result; what you see here is a screen cap. Unsupported, indeed. Still fun to play with. So not ready for prime time (or most peoples' computers).
My computing rig used to be quite impressive for a laptop. Now I realize I need MOER POW3Rz.

一晃眼三年过去，这时间过的太快，真是如白驹过隙。起初有一个毛头小子，到现在已快到而立之年，哥把这青春献给了这个行业，到现在还是默默无闻。在这三年中，有苦有甜，有欢笑但没有泪水--因为啥？因为哥是一个坚强的人。在这也要感谢帮助我的人，我爱你们，没有你们，我现在也不知道是什么状况，也许成了大款（哈哈）。
