Long day, filled with work and soccer. Taking the make up off and preparing for bed.
We obtained the building permit and handled all inspections. We obtained approval from the Homeowner's Association to proceed with the work. We saw cut and removed the existing driveway which was cracked and deteriorated. We removed all debris from the premises. We fully compacted all soil. We poured the new driveway with 4000 PSI concrete with fiber mesh reinforcement. We hand troweled the concrete with a double boom finish. We cut all expansion joints accordingly.
Found this behind the seat while cleaning up old red for resale.
wonder where it came from. Looks like a brake fluid reservoir, maybe. Not on any of my vehicles, lol.
Had the mole removed on the 20th. Now we wait for the thumbs-up. And wait....And wait....and wait.

We've decided to take on the new office space renovations ourself. Both Nathan and I are big fans of construction projects so although this could easily be outsourced, we're excited and having fun planning and building it all ourselves. Plus it's a nice break from the constant cinema display eye strain and 2 dimensional design world that is our daily lives.

Before removing this base cabinet, we had to take care of the sink. First we tried to get in there with a wrench, but there wasn't enough space.
Finally, we had to cut it off, since the supply lines were soldered (rather than threaded). I figured the best solucton was to get a pipe-cutter from Home Depot, so I hopped in the car to get there before they closed. As I'm driving around our block, I get a call from Michelle saying that she managed to hacksaw through the pipe without any trouble, so I finished driving around the block and came home.
Needless to say, Michlle felt very smart, and I did not.
