To be better prepared for work in the time of coronavirus, I attended today a webinar on “Team dynamics during a crisis” organised by Obhi Chatterjee and Julie Guegan. Some 480 colleagues from the European Commission were connected to the webinar, of which two thirds remotely from their home (like me).To guarantee and nurture the dynamics of a team that is forced to work remotely because of a crisis, a leader should focus on 3 points: ensure good performance; boost the morale; strengthen the relationship.

While on one hand, distance learning and the pandemic are massive challenges, we have enjoyed how it means that learning can happen anywhere. We visited the campground recently to illustrate the opportunities for taking learning on the road. With safe modifications, of course.

I had to work in the US for a few days and set up my desk, trying not to spend the day looking out of the window.
