En medio del océano PacÃfico, a unos 4450 km al SO de Honolulu y a 1770 km al N de Nueva Zelanda, se encuentra Fiyi. Las dos islas principales son Vanua Levu y Viti Levu (volcánicas). Al SE de estas se encuentra el Grupo Lau, formado por numeroas islas (arrecifes coralinos), donde destacan Kebara, Ogea Levu o Namuka-i-lavu.
