From the VentureBeat article: mobile.venturebeat.com/2010/08/21/apple-applies-for-paten...
The implication in the article being that Apple may choose to remote wipe jailbroken devices, under the guise of preventing unauthorised access.
This is still a big 'may'.
My reading of the patent (http://www.patentvest.com/console/reports/docs/app/20100207721.html) is that Apple could offer, in future, such 'protection' against unauthorised access (with subsequent remote kill functionality) to all users by default, together with a weaselly disclaimer, warning that jailbreaking may result in data loss due their unauthorised access protection system.
The problem is that jailbreaking is now an activity practiced by law-abiding citizens, so if Apple deliberately causes personal data loss, they will have account for such action, or have given sufficient warning to users of the circumstances in which it may occur. Given the outcry (and expensive resolution) over antennagate, killing phones remotely without the user's consent seems like a PR nightmare...
...but let's not forget that they did quite blithely 'brick' 2G jailbroken phones with a software update back in 2007...

My remote control, indoor, micro-helicopter, fun for flying around the house; the
"Apache Fire Strike Pro", made by Rivell.
This is the results of an experiment I did in the christmas holidays. I hung up this birdfeeder in a tree right outside my house. Then I put my 450d with my 70-300 on it, on a tripod, and connected it to my laptop. Running windows at the time, I used EOS utility to remotecontol the camera. After some testshots I set EOS utility to interval shooting, at its minimum of 5s delay, and left it for some time.
When I got back, I found that the camera had stoped shooting, due to a lens communication error, and the feder had fell down. Anyway, My harddrive was filled with surprisingly good shots, considering how they were shot.

The quiet and remote country church at Cratfield has features dating back as far as the 14th century. The tower to the west is a 15th century construction. In the spandrels above the door there are beautifully carved figures of a woodwose or wildman, with a club and shield, and a dragon or wyvern. These are as well preserved and striking as those at Peasenhall. The main treasure within the church is a superb 15th century Seven Sacrament font which has been described as one of the finest in England. The carvings are beautifully and skillfully executed and all but two of the panels have survived to the present day, having spent several centuries behind plaster. The carvings of the Mass and Confession have been destroyed, probably during the Reformation, but the other six faces of the font bowl remain to depict the Crucifixion, Baptism, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage, and the Last Rites. The stem of the bowl is equally striking with figures beneath canopied niches and seated figures at the base. Traces of paint remain to give an idea of how the font might have originally looked.
