Vitalic - Use It Or Lose It

youtu.be/J4IEHrFI07w

Hello,

I'd like you to PAY* us a visit @ Nitroglobus Gallery for my latest Collection called "A Beautiful Collapse" (aka OhBoy).

2 words about what you'll see there...

A Beautiful Collapse is a satirical collection, a happy protest in a postapocalyptic key. Remember how full of color were our last days on Earth while we were clamping our touchscreens with a wide, manic grin? And how the Last Emergency didn’t arrive without reason. Nor did we move into the throes of it by accident. “There’s something therapeutic in looking at the apocalypse and laughing” (Colin Meloy). Oh boy, it's helplessness and hopelessness coming together. It’s Black Mirror, The Decemberists and Carolyn Baker.

I hope this shaking will keep you steady still,

nevereux

Living in a comparatively small town has a lot of advantages, one of them is that you can be out in the countryside before the car heater warms up. This small series of connected ponds is the most picturesque in the early spring when it is ringed by fresh greens and then again when fall and winter are fighting for dominion. There is a little bit of both seasons in this photo, sun, ice, green grass and open water reflecting a most glorious chilly morning sunrise.

Of Snow..

Despite cold temperatures and bouts of rain & snow the primroses still bloom! They are amazing reminders that spring will come in the end!

As a big snow storm is approching us, they were calling for 25cm, now it's been upgraded to 40cm... where to put it all! I had to post this pic of my gorgeous Magnolia blossom to remind me there are wamer & prettier days ahead!

Often times we get so busy that we forget to utter important words. So this is me reminding azartaisce how much he means to me. ♥

On a cold, windy and wet day in England, a reminder of Spring!

Over time, I have developed three mottos for myself when out photographing, and the third is regarding my tripod. I am rarely happy with results caught without it, and always happy with the outcome when using it. One would think that means it would always be at my side. However, life sometimes dictates otherwise.

The dof in this shot is limited in order to avoid camera shake and create an adequate photo. This is a dead tree trunk with open holes. In an attempt to score a woodland abstract without the use of my tripod, certain constraints gave rise to various limitations. Regardless, it presents an interesting result, and a reminder of my third personal motto.

Don't you dare think you can tell me who I am. Because what you've seen is only a small fraction of all I can be. Call me rude, shady, and stubborn.. call me all the bad things you can think of. It won't make it any more true. I can't, and won't, let you put me down with your words for being who I am, and doing my thing. I aim to help people as much as I can. You won't be the one to change me into someone I'm not, just because you see evil in me.

daily reminder of a Jewish family - before nazi homicide they have had a normal life close to us.

We are in the middle of winter here in Adelaide right now - and this week has been cold and windy with *lots* of rain.

But we need the rain urgently as we had such a long dry spell with nothing - momths in fact - and a very dry winter to date. This early autumn shot is a reminder of just how dry it was

Reminder of our oil dependance even on beautiful Tenerife.

Even I have to be reminded of this sort of fact from time to time. Especially when depression takes hold and refuses to let go.

Someone out there, has, to feel better that I exist.

The Light by Disturbed

Like an unsung melody

The truth is waiting there for you to find it

It's not a blight, but a remedy,

A clear reminder of how it began

Deep inside your memory

Turned away as you struggled to find it

You heard the call as you walked away

A voice of calm from within the silence

And for what seemed an eternity

You wait and hoping it would call out again

You heard the shadow reckoning

Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded

You held your guard as you walked away

When you think all is forsaken,

Listen to me now

You need never feel broken again

Sometimes darkness can show you the light

An unforgivable tragedy

The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it

Prepare yourself for the reckoning

For when your world seems to crumble again

Don't be afraid to turn away

You’re the one who can redefine it

Don't let hope become a memory

Let the shadow permeate your mind and

Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away

So that the door can be opened again

Within your darkest memories

Lies the answer if you dare to find it

Don't let hope become a memory

When you think all is forsaken,

Listen to me now

You need never feel broken again

Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Sickening weakening

Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul

You need strengthening, toughening

It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you

ignite the fire within you

When you think all is forsaken,

Listen to me now

You need never feel broken again

Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Don't ignore, listen to me now

You need never feel broken again

Sometimes darkness

Can show you the light

In some bushes between pumpkin fields, in the fertile Connecticut River valley, is a stone denoting one moment in the tragic history of the area. The incident was part of the "King Philip's War", the bloodiest Indian war in American history. 2,500 English colonists were killed and unknown thousands of native people, many of whom were women and children. After the war the Nipmucs in this area were hunted down by colonists and either slaughtered or sold as slaves.

Freedom is not taken for granted, you have to stand up and fight for it.

Everyday.

Every single day.

As it's a cold and dull Sunday here I thought I'd go through some of my Cook Island photos from January as a reminder of that tropical climate!! How nice to be back in the lagoons of Rarotonga, even if only by photo!
