** We did have 2 ADG (Ashton Drake Galleries) Blythe Dolls; (some may remember NENTL as our First Blythe Doll) ... but "back in the day" ADGs were not even considered "real Blythe Dolls" ...
And even though we never agreed with that sentiment (We LOVE our 2 ADG girls !!) ... we discovered there IS a "difference" ... when we received our first "REAL" Blythe!
{We DID also have 3 Kenners at one time, but of course, they ran away from the Blythe Fifth Avenue Modeling Troupe ... they wanted to "start at the top", never willing to do the work required to go through the ranks ... so yeah ... they found their PERFECT PRINCESS HOME!! }

The inaugral Exercise in Oddity outing comprised a day travelling around former WigglyBus and Connect2Wiltshire routes in an Optare Solo in early August.
An enjoyable day was had by all and the success of the event launched us into the Back to School Running Day in Chippenham at the end of August, with more vehicles and routes.
We've lost a very loved member of our family, our aunt Opal lost her brave battle with cancer... she was an inspiration & to know her was to love her... Opal Watson May 12, 1945 ~ May 9, 2011
Been so busy lately.... so sorry if for falling behind on comments... trying to catch-up!
I've been standing on my ears just waiting for Calas' Christmas sim to open and now that it finally has...walking into the Pavillion this year was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. My dear friend Caitlin Cornsilk and I (along with her sister Autumn) last met here at the previous year's build before she passed away earlier this year. I had to take a moment to pause and reflect and collect myself. I will always miss her and will love her forever. The holidays are about coming together, but also about remembering. ♥
Remember why Jesus was born - it was to take our sins away. What a sacrifice He made for us!

My 27 years at Sam Houston State University provided lots of changes in technology. For most of that time, my job was to convince people the changes would lead to improvements. Not always the easiest sell. Very humorous to look back now on what we thought was good then.

Operating in multiple mode, D6575 and D6566 cross Ker Moor with the 10:45 Bishops Lydeard - Minehead on 6 June, 2025. Displaying route code ‘11’, the working recalls memories of double-headed Class 33s on summer Saturday services between Brighton and Plymouth. Now that would make a great railtour!

I really like this image. A diesel brake tender in view too!
A few of my mentors told me you had to remember if you were propelling a brake tender in front, especially if you were driving a 37/40/45/46 as the bonnet could obscure a drivers view of it. You could actually forget it was there.
Apparently a few stop signals were passed at danger on the signal mans track circuits with the driver totally unaware he had done so !
D6900 became 37200 and 37377. It was scrapped at Booths of Rotherham in October 2009.

With the heat we've had around here on the east coast of the US, I've become just about fed up with Summer. I'm ready for a change in seasons. So on that note, I went back to photos I took before the summer.
This shot captures the very last spot of snow I ever saw this past Spring (you can see the leaves on this tree hadn't even opened yet). We caught a late season snow shower one morning and I ran outside to capture the flowers with a gentle blanket of white. As the sun came up, the snow started melting and melting fast. I got to this tree and I thought the snow had already melted away or fallen to the ground. This was the only pocket of snow that remained, still clinging to the white blossoms, almost like it was trying to hide from the sun. It's also the last shot I took that day and I haven't seen any snow since.
Please Mother Nature, speed up the exit of summer and bring on the Autumn colors.
