Há grande confusão entre os termos, suplementos e remédios para emagrecer, sendo que as pessoas acreditam que há muitos remédios para emagrecer sendo vendidos no mercado hoje em dia. Todavia, isso é um equívoco, pois, no Brasil atualmente só existem dois remédios para emagrecer sendo vendidos.

São eles a sibutramina e o orlistat e comumente são usados como uma necessidade e não um meio para atingir maior beleza estética. Sabe-se que a obesidade é um problema mundial e em função disso muitas pessoas chegam ao ponto de terem que fazer uso de medicação para reverter o quadro e seus nocivos efeitos colaterais e consequências na vida cotidiana.

Remedios Varo, Anglès, ES 1908 - Mexico City 1963

When settled in Mexico, Remedios Varo first made a living with painting furniture and toys for children as well as restoring pre-Columbian artifacts. She also designed costumes for theatrical productions and extraordinary hats. These costumes later showed up in her paintings. In Woman’s Tailor she depicted a fashion showroom in which a tailor has his models parade his latest creations before a potential client.
Remedios Varo was a Spanish painter known for her haunting and iconographic work. A devotee of Hieronymus Bosch, her works often use mystical narratives to convey issues of gender rights and political repression. Born in Anglès, Spain, Varo studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid, before fleeing Spain for Paris during the Spanish Civil War. While in Paris, she found friends as well as an audience among the Surrealist community of writers and artists. In 1941, forced to leave France during WWII, Varo settled in Mexico City, where she befriended Leonora Carrington, another exiled painter. Tragically she died at the age of 33 in Mexico City. Today Remedios Varo is considered as one of the most important and influential Surrealist artists of the 20th century.

Sitio Remedios is a village situated in an 18,000 square meter of land in Barangay Victoria, Currimao, Ilicos Norte, facing the South China Sea. It is a re-created Ilocano village typical of the mid-fifties, and stands as a reminder of a more genteel era. The houses and other buildings are made of vintage bricks and wood salvaged from mid-century structures mostly from the towns of Ilocos Norte. The lay-out is in a grid typical of Spanish times, the quadricula, respectful of spaces and ancient trees, amid which the structures are built. The houses were constructed by workers coming from the towns where the houses were sourced, guided by architect Rex Hofileña, who without any detailed architectural plans, coached them to surface their innate artistry and skill to build remembrances of their Ilocano past.
