Almost eleven years ago I photographed this subject from this courtyard. Last time I used a mobile phone (Sony Ericsson P990i). This time the shot was also taken with a fixed focal length. ;-)

I took a very similar shot to this two years ago and as we were walking along this path again I looked at my son and Giz and suggested we recreate the scene. After all that our family has been through these last couple of years I actually found this remake/retake serves as a celebration of us past, present and future.

This is the happier remake of the shot Race that I upload earlier.

As suggested by delun, I added warm colours to convey the idea of happiness into this picture

Built for the LC11.

Enjoy!

I must add that building on this baseplate was a pain. I applaud anyone who uses this.

The RG-99b was one my first MOCs, looking back at photos made me want to revisit it. Much is different than the original, but the core is basically the same.

Original is here:

A remake of von Nebula was my idea fix for almost a year. Didn't want to change overall appearance wery much because he already looked cool as a set . And yeah, somehow he became a Toxic Reapa in terms of weapon :D.

And I made a new feature fon N. - body hump opens to reveal Da Sekret Weepahn.

I thought as I was in Hollywood then it would be ok to do a remake of yesterday's scrabble Sunday shot as I struggled getting it right yesterday!

I managed to find a spot much closer to the sign this morning (much to the annoyance of the local residents who must get annoyed with people like me parking outside their house when all the signs say it's strictly forbidden!)

Anyway, I'm much happier with this one!

From trash to treasure (robot) + light painting

My small remake of set 6854. The set became slightly bigger and now features movable cockpit, more mobile crane and paired scanners (they're rotated using large gear).

Credits for go to dasnewten and his incredible Draken, I built it long time ago after the image with some changes. Fits 15 minifigs inside not including these two on the outside. Has several openable roof parts and tons of possible mods. One of my favorite Lego ships ever!

The extremely talented Jerry Builds Bricks came up with the wonderful idea of remaking classic LEGO sets last year and is running a 2021 season too.

For 2021 I chose the super-cute taxi set from 1971 - 50 years on, could I come up with a build that demonstrates both how much vehicle design has changed, as well as how sophisticated @lego has gotten?

The original set has just 17 pieces, no curves and is built 100% studs-up, proudly showing 32 of its total surface area of 40 studs, yet has wonderfully simple and elegant proportions. Onto my build, which has a few more pieces at around 130; how could an EV taxi look? I kept the colour scheme of the original set, including the wheels, but thought a mash-up of the original red, but with a nod to the checker graphics often seen on taxis. Of course the side graphics say TAXi, not TAXI as everything hi-tech has to have a lower-case i, right?
