Curlews come closer to us when they have young but get very distressed if they think you might be a threat. This bird was unaware of me and came fairly close, as I sat and watched the family for some time. It wasn't overly warm but a heat haze ripples the scene.
I've just seen on another Flickr friend's site that it is Relaxation Day today and I think these seals show that perfectly.
