There were several magnificent elder rainforest trees we came across on our hike (see previous 3 pics) that had survived the early days of rampant colonialist logging across Australia.

The ancient symbol of such trees represents physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, union and fertility; closely related to the concept of 'the sacred tree', or 'monastra' tree, which relationally connects all nature.

Through some relational turmoil years back an idea of how to portray the view of drowning from above, yet connected to it, and at the same time lend a mild feeling of that experience without actually , of course, drowning. Mid turmoil felt exactly that way for a while.

Feel free to write what you feel when you look at it. For me, my throat tightens up and I feel suffocated.

This place will forever hold a special place in my heart. Tunisia is such a beautiful country full of amazing people. People are very relational and willing to give a helping hand. Its landscapes never disappoint. There are countless beautiful places across our planet and I am completely amazed by God's creativity!

This is the most iconic viewpoint of Yosemite Valley, and it is quite easy to see why. This stunning vista captures many of the valleys famous viewpoints all perfectly framed up in one shot. This view is pretty at almost any time of day under any weather throughout the year, but conditions like this make it extra special We were forecasted for clear skies which was a bit disappointing, so I did the only thing that I knew could make a difference. I prayed for clouds to come, and they definitely did. I do not believe that God answers every prayer in the exact way we always want, but I do believe He knows what is best and that He also loves to lavish His love on His children! He is not a genie in a bottle sort of god who does whatever you wish whenever you want, but rather He is infinitely powerful, but also relational. He is kind, loving, merciful, all powerful, filled with wrath towards evildoers, and many more things can describe His character. He is beyond our imagination!

Anselm classically defined theology as fides quaerens intellectum—“ faith seeking understanding.” Not faith that already understands and so no longer needs to seek. That would by definition no longer be theology. Theology is not itself the faith but its quest. If we stop seeking, we are no longer on the way. Faith seeking understanding has then turned into “belief that understands.” It then closes down the very root of quaerens, from which come both question and quest. Speaking the divine wisdom in a mystery, theology remains a work of human speech. Theology is not the same as faith or belief, but a disciplined and relational reflection upon them. God calls, but we are responsible for what we call “God.” And God may be calling us to that very responsibility!

-On the Mystery, DISCERNING DIVINITY IN PROCESS, Catherine Keller

Ginkgo trees are often used as ornamentals. They have fine golden leaves in the autumn. Some of these leaves had some age spots on them. Note that ginkgo trees display their relational distance from most other plants now living, by the fact that their leaves had no prominent veins.

The Wadden Sea is a mantra of seeing, eavesdropping, the feeling and presentiment of consciousness. The width remains not a purely external phenomenon, it opens the interior.

Either you allowed to extend itself until there is no more of relational thinking, only perceiving, conscious freedom, or to shrink to a grain of sand in the vastness. That is the price, which you have to pay to be a self.

The other side, which permeates gradually the exterior and interior, is death. The width is death and accommodate the width aware is a struggle for survival for awareness, because it needs to learn to stay aware of the unconditioned.

This experience is only revealed in full when you receive not just resting or relaxing in the fullest, but is actively go in watts. Then, the width, the tides, Night and Fog, treacherous quicksand, time frames, hallucinations and behavioral disorders harbors. The width is not chicken feed; our consciousness, it is not used with the deal Nothing. Some people are euphoric, as if they were in a dream or on a trip, another freeze in fear, no longer dare one step ahead of the others. This is dangerous in the Wadden Sea, very dangerous!

But if awareness remains stable: What bliss to be absorbed in sound and space, can penetrate without resistance, until there is nothing left, except what is there ..... this is perfection

In operation for more than 100 years and home to as many as 100 locally owned, independent businesses, the West Side Market is the anchor of Historic Ohio City. It is an integral and treasured facet of the neighborhood, the city of Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio region. The market offers a wide variety of fresh meats, cheeses, poultry, seafood, fruits and vegetables, as well as baked goods, spices, ethnic specialties, prepared foods, flowers and more. With a rich heritage comprised of quality food, fond memories and a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, the West Side Market has earned its title among residents as “Cleveland’s Public Market.”

The West Side Market opened on November, 2 1912, making it the city’s oldest, continuously operating, municipally owned market. It was originally built to replace the Pearl Street market, which had operated on the opposite corner since 1840. Together with the Broadway Market and Central Market, the West Side Market served Cleveland’s growing immigrant population in the early 20th century. Of these three public markets, the West Side Market is the only one still in operation today—continuing to offer an experience for shoppers that is culturally diverse and refreshingly relational.

The West Side Market was designated one of ten “Great Public Places in America” by the American Planning Association in 2008. In 2012, the market celebrated its Centennial with yearlong activities commemorating its great regional worth.

Theologian Catherine Keller has described contemporary life as one that is lived “from a broken web.”14 We are not autonomous individuals in the model of the classic hero, but relational selves who draw strength and learn selfhood and accept limits from all those others who live with us, whose lives and experience interpenetrate our own. Like spiders on a web, we are affected by every touch, every tremor, every action that takes place anywhere in the web of our relationships.

-“In Every Generation”: Judaism as a Living Faith Peter A. Pettit and John Townsend

Consciousness acts like an “agential cut”; one can experience God as the infinite horizon of goodness, beauty, and truth, or one can refuse to acknowledge the experience of anything. The more human consciousness awakens to God and lives from an integrated center of wholeness, the more one becomes “person.” A person is a deeply relational being who lives by the life of the whole, and one who lives by the life of the whole lives a Godly life.

What is this shadow lurking above me? These koi break through their ceiling of water with zeal. Only this visit will not give them what they anticipate, and yet they swirl into a blur of orange; a mystical vision of unity and beauty. Is it their tribal dance? (it is their liturgy)

I am being fed. I immediately watch nature and reflect on what she is telling me. My first impression is that we are dependent too- on what some may ask? The answer is found in the swirl of the koi!

Additionally, what shadow draws us forth to breakthrough our layers of ego?

Divine love is the energetic lure; it is both alluring and affected by that which is lured. Authentic love preserves the freedom and integrity of the other by offering possibilities to the other without forcing the choice to act. Love is always persuasive and never coercive: God’s power is God’s love.

As the human person loses conscious touch with the sacred, the capacity to appreciate and respond to the way the sacred is expressed through symbol is inevitably lost. Religiously and theologically, the loss of the symbolic leads to the pathology of literalism. When the religious story is read literally, its true power and meaning are lost. As a consequence, access to the depths from which the story arises is also lost.

Seeing the Trinity within the context of Jung’s psychosomatic unity reveals the process of individuation: the infinite field of the psyche is analogous to the “Father”; the actualizaiton of the psychic potential, the “Word”; and the energies of love that actualize the potential into existence, the “Spirit.” As the mind makes the journey inward and ascends to higher levels of consciousness, the God within awakens to a new reality of the whole. This awakening is a dynamic movement of love toward the actualization of potential life brought about by the expansion of consciousness on the level of integral wholeness or unity. The Trinity, therefore, symbolizes the psychosomatic relationships that give rise to wholeness and personhood, as divinity is incarnated at the highest level of Christ consciousness.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

God Detours.... "Sometimes God directs me down a different road from "where I thought I was going." In the same way an orange detour sign’s black arrow points drivers around an impassable road, so the Spirit can lead me in a circuitous route to avoid a relational wreck or help a searching soul. I don’t like the feeling of meandering, but this may be God’s way to protect me from my way. I am learning to appreciate Gods detours and not rush to my final destination. God’s goal is not for me to just go from point A to point B. He longs for me to enjoy the journey.

Jesus followed His heavenly Father on a godly excursion. Instead of hurrying back in an efficient pace to Galilee, He took His time to stop in Samaria to love a lady labeled unlovable by His culture. Jesus was intentional to instigate a relationship with a person who could not give Him anything in return. What seemed on the surface to be a less efficient schedule, was more effective in God’s Kingdom. Jesus paused for one person. Giving the gift of eternal life to one trumped being expedient with many. He took a detour from the plan so He could follow the Father’s plan.

“Father, if You are willing, take this cup away from Me. Yet not My will, but Your will, be done” Luke 22:42

Is your faith flexible? Can you joyfully follow your heavenly Father to places and people that are not a part of your original plan? Perhaps the Spirit is calling you to stay longer in your current circumstance so you can continue to model Jesus for those who have limited experience with Jesus. Maybe God has detoured you onto an unlit, uncrowded back road of life to test your belief and to grow your trust in Him. A life enamored by the noise and speed of busy highways can rush around only to discover Christ was just down the street in the cul-de-sac. Faith waits.

God’s detours are opportunities to know others and to make God known. By faith, our uncertain and imperfect path leads us into the certainty of Gods perfect path. When His Spirit prompts our spirit to pause, we are wise to wait on His leading. Faith follows Jesus to people and places who need Jesus. His detours are His blessings in disguise. We are all blessed by impromptu love in Jesus’ name. God’s detours are the best route to enjoy His results." (written by Boyd Bailey)

“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths” (Psalm 25:4)

Among Speedsters there is an understanding that the faster you go, the more at risk you are of losing your way and ending up trapped in the speed force. To combat this one needs to focus on a single object, person, or idea in order to keep themselves grounded. The term “lightning rod” has been adopted among the speedsters as the product of this fact.

To many a lightning rod is commonly another person to whom they share a special bond with. The bond shared between two individuals can be an effective lightning rod, however the bond can be broken if one side becomes deceased. (Popular users of a relational lightning rods: Barry Allen, Wally West, Wallace West, and Liberty Belle)

Others choose an ideal or belief to keep them grounded. This connection is a bit more difficult to uphold as the mind is one of the first things to become compromised when a speedster taps too far into the Speed Force. However the use of this technique is really only upheld by those who have very limited access to the use of the Speed Force, though a few more powerful users have learned to master this technique. (Popular users of Ideology lightning rods: Jay Garrick, Johnny Quick, Jesse Quick, Max Mercury, and Bart Allen)

The last type is a physical item used to act as a speedster’s lightning rod. Speedsters who use this technique often find themselves outside of any relationship strong enough to manifest itself as a lightning rod. Some Speedsters who have an impressive potential in Speed Force energy find themselves using an actual physical manifestation of the Speed Force to keep them grounded. (Popular users of Physical Lightning rods: Hunter Zolomon, Eobard Thawne, Savitar, and Dark Flash)
