Reine ist das administrative Zentrum der Gemeinde Moskenes auf den Lofoten in Norwegen. Das Dorf hat 2016 Einwohner (Stand: 1. Januar 2022) und existiert seit 1743. Heute ist der Tourismus wichtig. Trotz seiner abgelegenen Lage besuchen Tausende von Menschen jährlich diese Gegend.
Die Europastraße 10 verläuft durch Reine. Reine ist für seine landschaftliche Schönheit bekannt. Der Blick vom Berg Reinebringen auf Reine ist ein beliebtes Fotomotiv, das für die Titelseiten vieler touristischer Broschüren und Bücher verwendet wird. 1999 richtete sich der Maler Ingo Kühl in einem Rorbu ein provisorisches Atelier ein und malte den Blick über den Hafen auf das Bergmassiv.
I have to be completely honest that I have faked the relfection in the water. We waited for ages for the water to still be it didn't. So I have represented the shot as I would have liked it to be. Hopefully I will get the chance to go back one day and get it for real.
With a population of just over 300 Reine has to be one of the most stunning villages in the world. Located over 100 km above the Arctic Circle this villiage has so much activities to offer such as kayaking, biking, and skiing. The traditional red and white fishermen’s cabins sit beautifully along the shoreline and the enormous peaks of granite dominate the skyline.
We had lovely golden light the morning we visited it and for a few minutes were lucky enough to take advantage of the calm morning by shooting the beautiful reflection in the water. You can not go to Lofoten without making a stop at this incredible location.

The most beautiful village in Lofoten by a low light windy afternoon in spring 2017.
We are arrived a little bit to late in afternoon to have a good light to shot from the parking on the end of fjord.

The beautiful village fishing village Reine is worth visiting in whatever period of the year. The weather and the mood are changing all the time offering various photographic experiences.

Reine is a famous and charming fishing village in Lofoten, known for its picturesque location on the Arctic Ocean and the majestic peaks of Lofoten. It had snowed overnight, the remaining clouds were still in the sky, but the sun was already breaking through and letting the whole place shine.
Reine ist ein altes und eindrucksvolles Fischerdorf auf den Lofoten, das für seine malerische Lage am Nordpolarmeer und den majestätischen Gipfeln der Lofoten bekannt ist. Es hatte über Nacht geschneit, die Restbewölkung war noch am Himmel, doch die Sonne brach schon durch und liess den ganzen Ort erstrahlen.
