You can tell it's her because this is the look she flashed at me and my friend Dave when she caught us hurling spitballs at each other in the back of the room.

Lookin' good, Mrs. Judware. I hope I didn't cause you too much trouble.

You will go dead if you have not gone alive .... The story begins with the jealousy that San Andrés felt at the number of pilgrims that Santiago de Compostela received.

One day God visited him, accompanied by his disciple Saint Peter and he commented on his complaint with the hope of pulling from his interior the deep sadness he felt. To which the Almighty promised that, from then on, all mortals would come in procession to his sanctuary and, whoever did not do so in life, would have to do it dead and reincarnated into an animal.

Entry #6

The truth has been revealed to me and I don't know what to make of it.

Am I really Princess Asherah reincarnate? How could my parents hold this secret from me for so long?

They finally sat me down a few weeks ago and explained everything. It turns out that they were having trouble to conceive and went before Mother Gaia to beg for a miracle. Mother G said she would make the blessing happen only if the old life seed of Princess Asherah was placed in my mom's womb. My parents happily accepted but as the years passed, had a change of heart and tried to steer me from the truth in the hopes of me becoming my own person.

According to the old text, Princess Asherah was the firt born of Mother G and her life was cut short during the first great war before her powers fully developed. Mother G went on to have many children but always mourned her first born.

Mother G visited me again in sleep and showed me Princess Asherah, I must admit we look a lot like, I even saw some of the same mannerisms in the vision, uhm dream.

I feel an incredible amount of weight on my shoulders, the expectations of me to be someone who once was... who was going be "the key of the realms"... is just too much to bear!

I must beseech Mother G in the flesh to undue this... I will start my journey soon and cross 7 dangerous realms to see her, I will do whatever it takes to undo this!

Statues like the above is called Roku Jizou (六地蔵 six Ksitigarbhas).

This photo was taken on the approach road to Joujuin (成就院) Buddhist temple in Hirotsu, Ikeda. It is located on an isolated mountainside thickly covered with a forest.

Jizou (地蔵 Ksitigarbha) is one of the four principal Bodhisattvas (菩薩 Bosatsu) in Mahayana Buddhism. Other Bodhisattvas are Fugen (普賢菩薩, Samantabhadra), Monju (文殊菩薩, Manjusri), and Kan-non (観音菩薩 Avalokiteśvara). Bodhisattvas are would-be Buddhas and are considered as the highest-rank saints in the Mahayana Buddhism hierarchy.

Mahayana Buddhism assumes six hierarchical worlds; people reincarnate according to their deeds in their present life into one of the six worlds of god (天道), human (人間道), titan (修羅道), animal (畜生道), hungry ogre (餓鬼道), and hell (地獄道). Each of the Jizou sextet is in charge of a world, and the sextet as a whole are assumed to save all the beings regardless of their reincarnated worlds, which is the reason for the six statues.

Apart from the Mahayana Buddhist logics, Jizou has been worshipped as a guardian especially for children. The sextet statues are often installed on the roadside.

I have an impression that the six worlds idea sounds like a caste system. It might be an influence from Hinduism.

Wassaic, NY

The Wassaic Project, a rare survivor among the stately wood-crib elevators that once towered over rural America, this 105-foot-tall structure has been reincarnated as one of the strangest new homes for contemporary art in the Northeast, a place that feels like a Lower East Side gallery transplanted into a treehouse, redolent of damp pine and the animal feed that once filled the spaces.

BNSF 1409 and 1404 are respectively the former BN 9218 and 9213, reincarnated in the form of these repainted, re-equipped 60M's with some updated amenities. They are looking mighty good approaching Hinckley, Illinois with LCHI476 which has spent the day doing a Rochelle to Eola turn, and will end their afternoon back at Rochelle about 30 miles ahead.

Stack of old magazines and sales catalogs, ready for the refuse and then be reincarnated as new pages.

The mountain in the photo is Gakidake (餓鬼岳 2,647m). Gaki is Preta in Sanscrit, which means "hungry ogre" in the hell. Greedy people in a previous life is believed to reincarnate as Gaki. Gaki is also a derogatory slang for children.

I don't know why such a sublime mountain is called as such.

Conifer woods behind the settlement are for windbreak. Combination of rice paddy, conifer woods, and snowcapped mountains is a typical landscape of Azumino.

It hurts to think I might not see you again

But I don’t think I can stay here anymore

I have waited patiently for so long

But it looks as though you have gone

I’ll be waiting in the church porch, you said

After the service, you know the one

But I think I might be mistaken

Or have I been misled?

But something doesn’t feel right

The light always stays the same

And nobody seems to see me

It’s as though all my colours have fled

I have been here every Easter

I’m pretty sure that’s what you meant

I am feeling a certain unease

Am I to be reincarnated instead?

I feel the same, I am the same

But maybe I look different to you

Maybe older, maybe wiser

Younger? Or just dead

Either way, I really have to go

I think I am running out of choices

That light is not going to last forever

And I might miss my chance to follow

Goodbye my love, I tried to wait

But maybe you will find me

I think there’s time, always time

For you to search tomorrow

I was on my way home here, cutting back through the porch that covers the walkway from the Old Parsonage to the North Entrance of the church of St.Mary's in Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK.

I stopped, thinking of all the people who must have arranged to meet at this place over the years.

For some reason, the stance and portly disposition of this king penguin reminds me of famouse movie maker, Alfred Hitchcock (scriptangel.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/alfred-hitchco...). Perhaps his reincarnated soul is considering a remake of his big hit, "The Birds", but in the southern hemisphere. LOL

When resting, the penguins seemed to stand in this position with their eyes closed for long periods. They would also tuck their head under a flipper for a snooze. When in a crowd, that could fool you, as the head of the penguin next to it may be up, so the two blend together visually.

This is another image from St. Andrew's Bay on South Georgia.

Like a hidden secret

A frozen dance

A laugh in the face of gravity

It is inevitable that the surrounding leaves will caress you.

That your essence will seem like ephemeral magic

In between it all

Your biggest fear is that

In your next life, you'll be

Reincarnated

Not as something that hangs down

Weightless and whimsical

But instead as something

Growing up from the ground

With a heavy mass

And a constant faltering

Dependent on the physical self

Which will fail you more each day.

Lake Yamdrok (羊卓雍錯湖), Tibet, China

Lake Yamdrok is about 170 km (110 mi) southwest of Lhasa. The surface elevation is 4,441 m (14,570 ft)

Lake Yamdrok is considered a sacred lake and is said to be able to help Tibetans find the reincarnated soul of the Dalai Lama. After a Dalai Lama passes away, the senior monks are responsible to find the boy in whom the reincarnated soul of the Dalai Lama has gone to abide. They come to Lake Yamdrok to chant and pray, and throw hada (a piece of silk used as a blessing object) and other holy articles into the lake to get the reflection of the specific location of the Dalai Lama's soul.

Spellbound by polished water, reflecting on the world

A breeze swept in from behind me

Raising tiny hairs on the back of my neck with its coolness

While whispering, “hush” in my ear

Then spreading itself over the water

Like paint on a canvas

Transforming the day into a new vision

As if Monet had returned with the wind

" A reincarnate knight seeks a kingdom of glory. To vanquish the beast, his reoccurring story. Oft' has the beast left the field torn and gory. Yet, the knight strives for resplendent victory. "

A photo taken in another Theravada Buddhist temple in Pakse.

Wat Phabat is older and has a larger temple precinct than Wat Luang in the city centre. Some parts of the precinct was a bit dilapidated but a woodland with many uniquely designed stupas had its own charm.

The first stupa was an earth mound built on the ashes of Gautama Siddhartha, the Buddha. Emperor Ashok excavated and distributed them all over his huge territory by constructing stupas. The stupas were excavated by someone else and the ashes were further divided into pieces for redistribution.

Stupas are often attached to Buddhist temples, and the temples claim their stupas contain a relic of Buddha, at least, officially.

Hindus and some Buddhists, notably Thais, do not build graves since the deceased are believed to reincarnate; there is no need for them to keep the corpse.

But here in Laos and other countries in Southeast Asia, stupas are donated to Buddhist temples for a merit-making of the supporters, but they seem to function actually as the graves of the supporters' family members. Some stupas in Wat Phabat even had photographs of the deceased.

Their passion to construct stupas may have something to do with the pre-Buddhism tradition of ancestral worship.

Adrienne blinked, stunned. “What do you mean I remember from times past?”

Kayla’s voice softened. “Every soul carries echoes. No matter how many lives you've lived, something always lingers—instincts, fragments… a pull toward what you once were.”

Adrienne narrowed her eyes. “You’re saying I was reincarnated… and that I used to be a Jumper?”

“I don’t just think it—I know it,” Kayla said, certainty in her voice. “It’s in your lineage. Your DNA. Your bloodline. You, I came from the same origin. You’ve reincarnated dozens of times since the beginning always connected to that spark.”

Adrienne’s disbelief flickered behind her guarded expression, but something in her shifted—curiosity, maybe. Or dread.

“I hope we can awaken some of your memories,” Kayla said gently. “So you won’t have to relearn everything from scratch.”

She reached out, pressing her fingertips to the side of Adrienne’s head. Eyes fluttering closed, she inhaled deeply, then held the silence like a thread between them.

Adrienne’s mind went blank and saw she saw intense bright light.

A moment passed. Then another. Kayla’s smile broke quietly across her face.

“Yes… it’s all there. Buried deep, but intact.”

“What’s there? What did you do?” Adrienne asked, her voice wary.

“Everything,” Kayla said. “The instincts, the paths you once walked as a Jumper. It's all there. Once you begin using your abilities, it’ll start returning.”

Adrienne shook her head, uncertain. This is insane, she thought. How did I get into this...

Kayla opened her eyes and responded without missing a beat. “Not insane. Just… more real than you’re ready to admit.”

Adrienne flinched. “That was— You were in my head. I heard you inside my head.”

Kayla grinned, playful and sure. “Yup. You’ve got this. Don’t block it—believe.”

TP&W Kodachrome: A trio of Toledo, Peoria & Western GP20’s is leaning into a sweeping curve as it heads its train westward up and out of the Illinois River valley. When the Santa Fe spun off the reincarnated TP&W in 1989, the railroad’s roster included 19 ex-ATSF GP20's. Among these were several in the “Kodachrome” paint scheme of the failed ATSF-SP merger. As evidenced by this photograph, some lasted several years in the Kodachrome paint scheme. The second GP20 is still in its original ATSF blue and yellow scheme, while the trailing unit is in TP&W’s New York Central inspired lightning stripe scheme.

The way you walked in oh

It was such a scene

From every angle

So symmetrical

Just like a God

Fly away, my sparrow blue

Mountains from a bird's eye a view

May the breeze just carry you

Don't forget me, it's too soon

Cause we were angels in past lives

Reincarnated many times

Born under the same star sign

Astro twins, we are undying

Like a dream

It was oh

Speechless I just froze oh

I felt seen

Delusional

Illusional

You showed me my reflection

With a crack in every mirror

Fly away, my sparrow blue

Mountains from a bird's eye a view

May the breeze just carry you

Don't forget me, it's too soon

Hard for me to believe that the reincarnated Wheeling & Lake Erie has been around long enough for anything to fit the wayback adjective and while this one isn't way way back for my collection, it is almost 30 years old. And many changes have taken place with this view off of Interstate 77. The tracks are no longer there and the area is filled with equipment rental and material storage warehouses. The Wheeling no longer comes out of NS's Campbell Rd yard across the raised bridge across the Cuyahoga in the left background. They still serve the scrap yard that gets the gondolas and the Solon industrial park but that traffic comes up from Brittain Rd yard in Akron. The original Wheeling's track up the hill past Harvard tower has been removed. Taken on December 21, 1994.

The Great Stables were built in 1719, on the orders of Louis Henri, duke of Bourbon, Prince of Condé, who believed that he would be reincarnated as a horse. He asked the architect, Jean Aubert, to build stables that would be suitable to house a horse of his rank. The resulting 186 m long stables are considered a masterpiece of 18th century architecture. The stables could house 240 horses and up to five hundred hounds.

AUSTRÀLIA B/N 2023

The old Victorian building, on the corner of Pitt and Redfern streets, (Redfern NSW 2016, Austràlia) used to be the local convenience before it was reincarnated into a café. Owners Belle Clarke and Pej Zidei began trade on the corner in February 2018 as Bean and Berry, and became Hunter’s Corner in May.

“Inside you’ll find stuff from vintage shops in England, family hand-me-downs from my mum and grandmother, stuff from Mexico, Vanuatu, the Philippines and Japan,” explains self-proclaimed collectomaniac Belle.

The café is the home of Sydney artist Scott Marsh’s mural, which depicts Tony Abbott marrying himself. The pro same-sex marriage statement has been met with resounding support from café goers and passers-by.

“We’ve had people come and get engaged in front of it and take wedding photos next to it. We’re all about inclusivity and we’re very proud to wear such a beautiful and important art work.”

Sadly, in the wake of the triumphant Yes vote, an outbreak of mural defacing has occurred around Sydney. Scott Marsh’s newest mural on the Botany View Hotel in Newtown has been defaced, as well as the mural of much-loved icon George Michael in Erskenville.

The mural at Hunter’s Corner remains untouched by the defacers – let’s hope it stays that way.
