Slashing dangers are relatively frequent for these workers and an occupational risk they face on a daily basis.
SlashPRO® Clothing provides excellent cut and slash protection and is available in a wide range of products which include arm guards, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, boxer shorts and gloves.
We were registering voters again, and the same tailor shop promoted their wares by taking and giving away photos. (The celebration was on Saturday, July 3rd, I guess to leave Sunday as a church day.)

It took a few beautiful country back roads (trails, even) to find this spot but isn’t it neat? Stephens Bridge!
This place was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001 - much deserved! It was built in 1898 and rehabbed about 100 years later. And they did a great job! It’s very sturdy.
The bridge was built by Dibley and Robinson - the predecessors to the Fargo Bridge & Iron Company.
I can’t believe the bridge is so old. It sure has great views! Isn’t North Dakota beautiful?
It certainly is a picturesque bridge! Hopefully this lasts for another 100 years. Let’s keep taking care of our history!

The Hans J. Hilmoe Barn (Charles E. Berg Barn) was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in June 2010. Photographs from March 2010.
Built in 1911, the barn has a banked foundation of Sioux quartzite stone from local quarries. During the late 19th century and early 20th century, farmers experimented with new barn forms and features, attempting to enclose the maximum amount of space at the lowest possible cost and attain the highest degree of efficiency. Banked barns allowed farmers easy access to both levels. Building them a south-facing hillside and placing the north wall of the basement below the ground surface allowed sun into the lower area of the barn, keeping it dry, warm, and generally a good place to keep livestock such as milk cows.
John P. and Marit Hilmoe had emigrated from Norway to Minnehaha County in c.1881. Son Hans (born 1888) built this barn for expanded livestock use. The property was sold to Charles E. Berg in November 1970 and remained in the Berg family at least to 2010.
