Back to what we call our home after visiting more than a couple of lovely homes and a wide range of family plus friends, happily & willingly so. Overwhelmed by all the love family showered on us and thankful for that.
Other than the disrupted ENT system due to allergy just as we hit Dubai, it feels good to be back. The first thing to report is - my plants did well with some care from the bldg security staff.. the creepers have grown delightfully and the weather doesn't feel that bad when I sit in the AC indoors and watch them plants sway with the wind outside in the balcony.. green surroundings can lift my spirits any day. & I am making green tea concoction to help the throat.. Its ironical that I am sitting with socks on in the peak summers, thanks to the AC plus allergy.
So I am back after around a month's break.. The trip was all about family reunions with beautiful beautiful backgrounds.. the photos will tell the tale :)
Above picture has mom's pothos / money plant bushes that I loved..

Beijing's premier attraction is the magnificent Forbidden City, a fascinating and immense complex of richly adorned halls, pavilions and courtyards completed in c1420 and home to China's ruling dynasties for nearly 500 years, up to the 1920s when the old order was finally abandoned with the founding of the Republic. It thus remains officially the Palace Museum.
As the nucleus of Imperial power for half a millennium this enormous complex remains the single most outstanding, evocative monument of Chinese culture and traditional architecture. My only wish is that we could have spent longer exploring it, one could easily spend a day here.

Refresh April with Chris McClelland
"Start."
Everybody has the ability to start something. To some it may seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. This talk will be a frank discussion about ways to start and deliver successful products.
Building mobile apps provides a unique perspective into the challenges of creating successful products. An app can have different users, business goals, design, development and marketing challenges. Based on experiences and insights Chris will share some real world examples, you will hear about what worked, and what doesn’t, tales of starting from nothing, to thinking and delivering big.
Monday 16th April, 7pm

About Refresh
Refresh is a bi-monthly event for the designers and developers of Belfast's web community to get together to share stories, discuss ideas, talk about principles and debate technique. Each Refresh is centred around a short talk and, of course, there's plenty of beer and conversation to be had too.
