Public Works Department was commissioned to create a number of artworks for Sprite last year. Lebron James had recommended Sprite speak with us and check out the Art of Basketball. I ended up curating 5 pieces for them featuring Chris Stain, Cope2, David Cooper, Joe Iurato and myself. The work is now featured on their "under the cap" promotion (www.sprite.com). Peeps will score cool prizes such as phone skins, apparel, headphones and more featuring our work. This amazing piece was Cope2's effort and really hit the spot. Go score a Cope2 tee! Super Size Me!

Flickr, you need to hurry up and deal with the ongoing issue for some people of views and stats - people are not impressed one bit at views disappearing (sometimes, tens of thousands at a time) and the continuing, steady drop in daily views. For one thing, are photos being seen when posted? Just lost about another 11,000 views today!! It is a case of one step forward, two steps back. Also, the only way to see the view number under each photo is to keep pressing the Refresh key until it updates.
Four days ago, on 1 August 2020, it was yet another day in a string of days that have been under a Heat Warning. Today, 5 August, we are still under an ongoing Heat Warning. Our early afternoon temperature is 25C (windchill 28C). A few days ago, it was 31C while I was out for the day and 33C when I returned to the city. Heat does not suit me well, though many years ago, we lived in Oman, Middle East, and I remember when it got up to 48C! We did have air-conditioning (when it worked), and how I wish I had air-conditioning here! Sometimes, I just have no choice but to jump into my car and go for a drive, just to get some coolness.
That was the case four days ago, when I couldn't take one more minute of the heat inside my place. So, I ended up going to the Saskatoon Farm (like my second home) for a late lunch and to pick up a few fresh vegetables and fruit. While there, I took just a few flower photos and stopped to check on the tortoises. The last thing I knew about them was that there were two of them. On this visit, I lost count of how many were in the beautifully designed enclosure. Chatting with Paul, the "boss" of the farm, I was told that they now have three different species in there. They really are quite beautiful.
Afterwards, I also drove a few other roads, including a road that I had never driven along before. To my delight, I came across two barns that were new to me. Any day seeing a new barn is exciting : ) The first barn that I actually remember photographing was about 30 years ago, on an acreage just outside the city, where my son was renting in the large house.
On my drive home early evening, the sky filled with dramatic clouds and it became extremely dark. It felt as if it was three hours later.

A little sign of life from me, it's been a while again. Hope everyone's fine out there! :)
This is one of 3 sneak peeks of Kasumi with her new Face up I did some time ago. It was the third try on her and definitely the best result I had for her since then, when you ask me. I totally love it and I'm much satisfied, what's definitely rare for me. XD *lol* My most favourite part of her is the lip blushing with the two-toned lip lines (white and brown colored). It was a kind of little experiment with the lip lines and I'm fully happy with how it came out. <333 *love*
I know she definitely looks much different than before, she looks much more naturally now with a tiny bit more colors. Also she got another style this time for this pictures for some reasons, but she's still herself and that's the main important thing for me. :)

On this capture, I was drawn to the light shining on the patron inside. This looked like it would be a good black and white image with the contrast of the dark exterior and the light illuminating the people inside. What's even cooler is the sign on the door that says "Refresh Responsibly". This coupled with a quick gulp from his Miller Lite makes a good juxtaposition capture. iced tea...i love it all year long
so many of my wonderful flickr friends are recording their daily pleasures or YIP, and it is very inspiring to me. i enjoy seeing those shots so much! while i'd probably crack from the pressure of a daily shot, i love the idea of capturing that part of life. so, i'm starting a new set "it's the little things", and am going to try focusing more on those things in my life that make me happy and grateful.
thanks to all of you for your inspiration, and making me slow down to look for those moments!
