It's my birthday today so as a treat I thought I would bring back some happy memories with one of my favourite flowers the magical bluebell ...... as I escape into dreamland for a little while :) :) :)
PISCES ..... an idealist at heart, it's common for Pisceans to be attracted to art, nature, creativity or fantasy in an attempt to escape from gritty reality. They are the dreamers of the zodiac; mysterious, spiritual, imaginative and idealistic, needing to be alone occasionally to recharge and refresh themselves.
I thought this image would refresh those of us caught in this heat wave! A state park in the Finger Lakes of New York... provides a fun swimming hole. Robert H. Treman State Park

▶ "Solanum carolinense —the Carolina horsenettle— is not a true nettle, but a member of the Solanaceae (nightshade) family. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, native to the southeastern United States, though its range has expanded throughout much of temperate North America.
The plant grows to 3 feet tall (90 cm). Leaves are alternate, elliptic-oblong to oval, 2½ to 2½ inches long (6 to 11 cm), covered with fine hairs. The stem and undersides of larger leaf veins are covered with prickles. Solanum carolinense flowers from April to October. The flowers have five petals and are usually white or purple with yellow centers, though there is a blue variant that resembles the tomato flower."

I debated long and hard about this shot and the framing. I couldn't decide if I in fact thought the framing took away from the shot or added to it. In the end, I decided it added to the shot although I'm still not certain about the signature. I may end up removing that because that may be distracting. You let me know your thoughts and feelings.
Sometimes you have to be willing to give a little to get a little; bend a bit in order to make life a little easier. It's not only about making yourself happy but rather, it's about making your life healthy. Compromise can be beautiful... and refreshing.

it's been a bit dry here so we had to water the garden this week. The little gazanias always look so happy and grateful afterward!
After a cooling moment in the water, my tireless retriever is ready to continue the game.
Note that the Lacrosse Ball always gets a dunking as well. I guess Toby thinks it would like one, too
I have so many fizzy drinks on holiday, even though I don't drink any at home! Dang, totally forgot to take a photo of an Inca Kola bottle. Mm...
