A lily with a daffodil refraction reflected onto a black shiny surface.
My single image with post processing in Photoshop and Topaz.
Water drops with colourful reflections and refractions on Pansy flower petal. Taken on our balcony garden.
The song that goes well with this image would be Prince's
"Purple Rain" .

These are antique cordial/liqueur glasses I inherited from my grandmother many, many years ago.
This image congers up memories of when I read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. A very magical book and a good read!

Have a lovely week.
“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” - Wystan Hugh Auden, British-American poet.
The theme for “Smile on Saturday” for the 17th of June is “the shape of water”, where I am permitted to photograph water in the form of a gas (steam), a solid (ice or snow) or liquid. This is a very challenging theme. Although it is winter where I live, it doesn’t snow here, so that leaves gas or liquid. I have opted for liquid. I have wanted to play with water and food dye and photograph it for a while. So, on a sunny day, I pulled out a crystal wine glass, filled it with water and added some red food dye! Voilà! It’s amazing how something that looks so effortless can sometimes take a great deal of work! The idea was great - the execution not so easy. I had to be quick, so within two shots after dropping a few drops of colouring into the glass, the whole glass was coloured. I think I did about ten or twelve glasses of water and this is the one I liked the most. I hope that you like my choice for the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.
La réfraction peut se définir comme la déviation que subit un rayon lumineux lorsqu'il passe dans un milieu de densité différente.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Please do not post banner, pictures and glitter in your comment.

The light of late afternoon illuminates this window in the medieval Abbey of Santa Maria of Alcobaca in Portugal into a refraction of beautiful colors.

There has been some welcome light rain in Brisbane today. Here are some of the raindrops suspended in a spider web, each producing a refracted image of a hibiscus flower behind them.
