Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge is best known for migratory waterfowl. Waterfowl are present September through April and numbers regularly peak at over 500,000 ducks and 250,000 geese. Sacramento NWR is an important wintering grounds for the Tule Greater White-fronted Geese. We spotted hundreds of these beauties as we traveled the Auto Tour route. This pair caught our eye as they huddled together reflecting on the moment.

HMM and happy new week!
I am busy and behind.
Earlier I posted an image of what some people believed it was an autumn image (flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/52461326690/in/dateposted/). It however was taken in the beginning of summer. But this one is a real autumn image and it was taken at the same place as the one above, only it is the view to the other side.
"Het Loo" is just a wonderful place if you want to make reflection shots, as also can be seen in this one (flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/52262654849/in/dateposted/).
Enjoy!

The still waters of a lake reflect the beauty all around it.

I actually worked on this image last year on my return from NZ/Canada. This shot was taken on a wet day re-tracing my steps to my primary school. The tree ferns were all along the pathway and they sheltered me from the rain. I have added the water to this image - i wasn't wading through it!
Posted for Sliders Sunday
The Slaney was unusually still and was like a mirror that was reflecting everything including this lovely bridge.
“This is what we call love. When you are loved, you can do anything in creation. When you are loved, there's no need at all to understand what's happening, because everything happens within you.”

P.S. My other lion wanted to do this photo idea based on a tik-tok video he saw, here. I am happy with the final result! It was exciting to do this together and I adore this.
