Soho was originally known as the Cast Iron District due to a plethora of cast iron buildings, many of which held warehouses and factories. Some of those still remain; but most have moved on, ousted by outrageously rising rents. I have been a resident for nearly 20 years, and greatly miss the face of the neighborhood as it once had been. It almost feels like a dream, now; and I cherish every historical remnant which remains, no matter its shape or form, which provide evidence of the way it was.
🌿 Captured a mesmerizing moment of two graceful Black-winged Stilts elegantly walking on the shimmering emerald waters. These slender waders seem to dance effortlessly on the liquid surface, their stark black and white plumage beautifully contrasting with the vibrant green backdrop. A true spectacle of nature's artistry! #NatureBeauty #AvianElegance #WildlifeWonders 🌊🍃
History: 📅 Flashback to a serene morning by the tranquil wetlands, where the air was filled with the symphony of chirping birds and the gentle rustling of reeds. As the sun's golden rays kissed the water's surface, my lens focused on this enchanting pair of Black-winged Stilts. These striking birds, with their impossibly long legs and slender beaks, were engaged in their timeless routine of foraging for aquatic insects and small crustaceans.
Their synchronized steps created mesmerizing ripples, forming an ever-shifting pattern of circles and waves. Against the lush green backdrop of aquatic plants, the scene looked like a painting brought to life. It was as if the stilts were walking on a canvas of liquid jade, their reflections extending the artistry beneath them.
As I quietly observed, I marveled at the elegance of their movements. With each step, they delicately balanced on their spindly legs, their slender bodies maintaining a perfect equilibrium. Their plumage, a study in contrasts, emphasized the beauty of their form: jet-black wings and back, contrasted with a snowy white front. Their beady eyes were focused intently on the water, a testament to their unwavering dedication to their quest for sustenance.
Nature's palette had chosen a harmonious blend of colors for this breathtaking tableau – the vibrant green of the aquatic vegetation, the pristine white of the stilts' feathers, and the deep black of their wings. It was a fleeting moment of tranquility and grace, a snapshot of life's delicate balance captured in a single frame.
I'm grateful to have witnessed and shared this glimpse of avian elegance with all of you. Let's celebrate the beauty of our natural world and cherish the moments that take our breath away. 🌏 #NaturePhotography #BirdWatchingMagic #ReflectionsOfLife 📷️

Photography is truly a universal language. This novice said he prefers Nikon, I think it is the ergonomics. All Buddhists must ponder the universal question, was the Buddha a Nikon or Canon devote, or does it really matter?
Reflection and light create abstract patterns through the bouncing and bending of light, with flowing lines and sharp angles that shift based on the angle of the light.

My Website:
I have a friend, he’s 31.
He had a wife, she was 27.
She died of liver cancer one month ago.
They have four children.
The youngest is barely six months old
This is an age where people put a premium on youth
A generation which considers old people “out of touch”.
Where liposuctions, botox treatments and wrinkle removals are renowned
All aimed at delaying Mother Nature’s unyielding stride
Today we are forgetting the beauty of the lines of our lives.
Let us be reminded that these are our experiences, our pain and our fruits of labor.
These are our friends, cherished loved ones and our joy and suffering.
Our lines are us.
The years will pass by and I will have my own
I will wear it proudly.
For there are other people
Who didn’t get the chance to wear them at all.

The World Bank defines extreme poverty as living on less than US$ (PPP) 1 per day, and moderate poverty as less than $2 a day. It has been estimated that in 2001, 1.1 billion people had consumption levels below $1 a day and 2.7 billion lived on less than $2 a day.
An update of sorts - I should have called this double-trouble!
We have on the left his cheeky smirk... (which, apparently he inherits from his Dad), and on the right are his two new teeth, and his famous 'smile'.
(I should add that it was his Mum that took these photos, I just worked with them a little... and I haven't got it quite right yet - I am not very accustomed to processing portraits)
This image looks even better here
...he used to be this sweet...
i spoke to these scrap collectors for a while during the shoot, this old man is a worker here, i spoke with his boss, i'll post his photo in the workshop :)
according to the boss, they can sell these metal scraps for $0.25 per kilo, and will buy it from you for $0.20 per kilo
the plastic is also for sale, they actually hav a higher value at $0.30 per kilo, but because plastic is lighter, you'll need to collect a lot more to make the 1 kilo mark :P

About a 2 hour drive, south west from Ho Chi Minh (Saigon ) you reach the Mekong Delta, and after crossing one of the many wide rivers on a motor boat, I transferred to a small traditional sanpan and was paddled upstream to a little village.

The Picture was taken at Lashio, the small village at the Northern Myanmar (former Burma). This shot was taken in the early morning at the local market. The light ray at the back is the light shine through the dust from the muddy road, yes, that is not a mist, is dust. People over there were never see a camera before and very friendly to visitors. I was not a tourist over there, since that is not a tourist ism area. I was visit a Christian mission field over there which help local people get rid from their drug addict.

I say WHO NEEDS EXPLORE? Anyone looking for beautiful images should check out my Contacts Page. I am blessed to have 700 tremendously talented contacts who make an effort to better their craft on a daily basis. Each day I see folks step outside their comfort zone and create works of art. I don't need or have time to have anyone else select the "best of the best" or the most "interesting" for me. I, thankfully and gratefully, have it delivered to my door. There! I have had my say!
