Week 1 (30.12. - 5.1.) : Capture a Reflection in an Unexpected Surface

- Look for unconventional reflective surfaces (e.g., metal, glass, puddles).

- Experiment with angles to create interesting distortions.

- Focus on the interplay between the reflection and the surrounding environment.

This image was taken at the same day when I went to capture some images of skywalk, just accidentally I found this place when I went outside for a fresh air. Sunny bright day as you see which created nice shadows and reflection...

Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 16-35 EF f/2.8L USM II.

Handheld three exposures processed in photomatix Pro, B&W effect Added in Silver Efex Pro 2, noise reduced in Topaz DeNoise and completed work as always in Photoshop CS5.

today is the first day looking at Flickr after a good week away. After then opening the works email I think I need to check that out before I can "play" too much. Shame as I have just clicked on My Contacts and there are some stunning photos in there. Will hope to catch up with them all during the week.

From the photoshoot at Yankee Air Museum, many thanks to my sister for letting me borrow her camera since mine is broken and off for repair! Liz is laying on the wing of the plane and is reflecting of the side. This is a vintage WW2 Bomber plane.

I had to see what this would look like...I kinda like it.

52in2018 No.41 A Reflection

I saw this dreamy scene in the reflections in the canal but it didn't convey what I felt, so I flipped 180. More like Dorothy or Alice...I like it when images take me somewhere else. Connectivity

Reflections on the River Teifi, Cardigan with a cormorant fishing

En route to Portree, to spend the day at Aros talking about sea eagles.

One of the better sunsets I’ve seen at Smiths Lake.

I really like the clarity of the reflection and how strong the contrast is between light and dark.

I also like the way everything is shaped in the shot.

reflections in the harbour of Den Helder, Netherlands.

As I returned to the car after photographing the Peace Garden I spotted this reflection in the bonnet - I couldn't resist trying to make something of it. This is the closest I'll ever get to a self portrait...

"The rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

Luke 1:78-79 - Merry Christmas to you!!

Reflections in rainy Portishead Marina

Another picture taken with my phone. The camera is actually not too bad. Especially if I post-process in Lightroom later.

I was pretty excited when I discovered this view at the Reflection Pool. If you get down on your knee, the American flag is reflected in the pool. I thought this was super cool.

When I did some research about this pool I found out that it was designed for this exact purpose! As stated on the website of the designer: The pool is located so as to reflect a large American flag in the distance when viewed from the proper angle.

Someone told me once (Can't remember who though) that one time a woman thought the pool was something solid and she tried to sit on it! That would something funny to see…

The Jardin du Luxembourg (familiar nickname Luco) is a 224,500 m² public park and the largest in the city located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. Luxembourg is the garden of the French Senate, which is itself housed in the Luxembourg Palace.

The palace and gardens were built by architect Salomon de Brosse for Marie de' Medici from 1615 to 1627.

Highest position: 185 on Monday, August 13, 2007

The gardens include a large, fenced-in playground that's very popular with local younger children and their parents and adjacent to it there's an excellent puppet theatre and a merry-go-round. On occasion, pony rides are also available. In addition, free musical performances are presented in a gazebo on the grounds and there's an anonymous, inexpensive restaurant nearby, under the trees, with both indoor and outdoor seating from which you can enjoy the music over a glass of wine.

The garden is enjoyable for its calm. On the little pond children play with miniature boats. The garden contains various statues and sculptures. Surrounding the pond are a series of statues of former French queens. The École nationale supérieure des Mines de Paris and the Odéon theatre stand next to the Luxembourg Garden.

Photographed this chicken today at the Gentle Barn that seemed to be intrigued by it's own reflection. Please be sure and check out my other shots too :)

This was taken on a overcast day at styal, but i still got some good reflections.

A foggy night + a perfectly still canal = a spectacular reflection

Taipei 101. This is the tallest building in the world standing at 449m (1,474ft) tall. The 101 represents the hundred and one floors in the building. On July 21, 2007, the Burj Dubai overtook the Taipei 101 in height, but does not officially count as the tallest building in the world until it is completed. Best viewed Large
