" My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all. "
_John Lennon _
Reflections on water or on a building always fascinated me, therefore I was lucky to pass by this building at this moment when no cars no rain no etc..
Descending down into the deep
Sending drops , see them leap
Out of the depths, flying up
As the air drinks out of natures cup
Swallowing the tears the sky did weep
Exploding suddenly out of the deep
The old Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China building, Jakarta. This building is part of the Jakarta old city, or Oud Batavia and was built in 1921.
I found this relfection while walking through Wurzburg, Germany today.. I tried to line up the reflection as good as possible with the building next to it so that they looked like they were the same building... I think it turned out ok?
“The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.” ~Thomas Merton ~
Original file can be found here: www.morguefile.com/archive/display/962698 - I added a reflection to enhance this beautiful tree.
Stopped by Matsumoto Castle for a few minutes early on Saturday morning. I had driven up to Matsumoto the night before and got over to the castle fairly early (around 5:30am). It was a good time to be there (no other people to speak of) and the light was fairly nice, though as the inner grounds weren't open yet I could only get around to 2 of the 4 sides. I ended up with a lot of back or side lit shots because of this but I'm still happy with what I got. After visiting so many times of the years I'm happy I finally have a few pictures of this place that are my own.
Jericho sails and the Vancouver skyline in the rear view mirror of some old Mercedes. I wish I remembered what kind of Mercedes it was. I think the boys out there will think it should be noted but....I'm a girl and didn't even notice except for the fact that it was old, in great shape and really, really shiny :)
This shot was a game of patience wating for light on the foreground, Mount Rundle and a moment without the wind to get the reflection.
Reflections at the inner loop lake at St. Andrews State Park this morning, not much going on other than fog and a light misty rain.

This image was taken at the same day when I went to capture some images of skywalk, just accidentally I found this place when I went outside for a fresh air. Sunny bright day as you see which created nice shadows and reflection...

This is a slightly elevated view from Southpoint Park on Roosevelt Island. The best views of the skyline are on the memorial on the very south end of the island, but it locks up at 5:00. The chain link fence is not very attractive and the tall wild grass is not so great either. The views from the other side of the fence is better. Hmmm.

52in2018 No.41 A Reflection
I saw this dreamy scene in the reflections in the canal but it didn't convey what I felt, so I flipped 180. More like Dorothy or Alice...I like it when images take me somewhere else. Connectivity
