Reflections at Keppel Bay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reflections at Keppel Bay in Singapore will be a 99 year leasehold luxury waterfront residential complex on approx. 84,0000 m² of land with 750m of shoreline and will be completed by 2013. The complex will have 1129 units.
The complex was designed by Daniel Libeskind, who also created the masterplan for the World Trade Center Memorial.
The six glass towers will afford panorama views of Mount Faber and Sentosa.
Original file can be found here: www.morguefile.com/archive/display/962698 - I added a reflection to enhance this beautiful tree.
Wie ihr sehen könnt, gefällt mir die Spiegelung auf meinem (nicht entspiegelten) Bildschirm .. 😎👍
As you can see, I like the reflection on my (non-reflective) screen... 😎👍
Assignment: PCA71 – Transformation
WIT:
I decided to go with soap bubbles for this assignment. To me, they represent many types of transformation. They can turn a grown man into a little boy or a sad face into a happy one. There seems to be something uniquely fun within the simplicity of blowing bubbles whether you try to catch them, try to pop them, try to take pictures of them, or just watch them.
They also represent transformation in the shapes they take on and the reflections within them. Always different from the real world as if they are a world unto themselves.
Not much post processing to speak of. A crop and a slight bit of sharpening is all.
Austrian Alps, close to the Rudolfs Hut above Zell am Zee. Wasnt expecting snow! So calm the reflections were perfect, especially with the mist makingg it so moody
The reflection is my way of trying to find myself. Though, as a teenager, I am not alone, I feel as if I am very unsure of who the real me is and this image shows how I am still searching. I used the layering tool in photoshop to place one image of just the mirror on top of another image of me in front of the mirror showing my reflection. I was then able to erase the area of the mirror on the top layer to show only my reflection.
LOL, I so couldn't do a 365!
I swear if my life depended on it, and my 365 assignment was - Just press the shutter, you don't have to aim or anything, just press the damn shutter once a day! - In about 5 days I would be dead... BUT I'm not doing a 365, I'm just uploading what I feel like when I want to. Regardless of my crappy upload rate...Warning there's a slushy bit coming up... I am having so much fun! You are all amazing, wonderful, creative people and you brighten my day no end! Thank you so much!
My camera and me - What kind of me do I want to present?
Being far from my normal elements of wild nature it was a great challenge
The reflection of autumn oak leaves, tree branches and the blue sky on the undulating surface of the river. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical, and is best seen full screen.

It has been over a week since our return from our at times arduous hiking adventure to the LaCrosse Basin in the Olympic National Park. My thoughts regarding this pristine back country have not been diminished in any way. This trip was noteworthy from the beginning and made quite memorable as our final hike out was at times, a laborious undertaking of great determination. Our final day was filled with intense rainfall, trail obstacles (110 downed trees), a bees nest, high stream crossings, 14 miles and laughter......lots of smiles. There is never a guarantee of perfect weather when hiking in the high country. The important thing to remember is to think our every possible situation that can happen, and is happening in real time. Act wisely and prudently as a team. The worst adversary in nature is bad decision making. It can get people injured or killed.
I learned that having hiking companions as wise as Ken and Kelsie taught me so much. They think out of the box and take action appropriately. They always included me in their connived plans and I was grateful for the inclusion. They are both conscientious hikers that follow all of the rules that nature throws their way. As a result, safety becomes the norm and the realization that there is always another day.
The LaCrosse Basin is a destination not soon forgotten, nor are the lessons learned even with the distraction of saturation as an unwelcome quest. Follow your dreams in this life lived and never shortchange yourself the opportunity of getting out of your comfort zone. Personal growth can never be underestimated. The reward of effort may disparage and completely omit the notion of-----fear.
People can do anything, it is all about having a positive can-do attitude :)
