It's as good a day as any to take some time and reflect on the past and look to the future. I hope this year is better than the last for you and yours!

Autumn Reflection
Maine
I didn't get much autumn shooting in this weekend, I had other things going on, but I did manage to make it up to a lake in Maine where I spent a lot of time as a kid. I was lucky and the foliage was pretty much at peak color around the lake. As the sun was going down the light wind completely died and the lake became a mirror.

Only found in the Kafue Flats area of Zambia, Kafue Flats lechwe have long elegant legs and huge dark eyes. It is only the male Lechwe that have beautiful swept back horns. Kafue Flats lechwe typically live in swampy floodplains, they are extremely well adapted for this habitat with hooves that spread wide, allowing them to move easily in swampy conditions.

My entry into the Art of War contest.
D: This started out as a cool idea of building an entire reflection in water. But, as time wound down I ended up with no natural lighting and having to cram some last minute building in. So, there is a lot to think about when building a reflection. But, assuming that it is still water this is the exact reflection.
So, when I have unlimited time, and unlimited clear 1x2 plates I will re-visit this build and make it worthy of this post. :( But I promised myself last year I'd enter the next S&C contest. Thanks for looking! -Kyle
Finally got a chance to get out with my camera yesterday afternoon. I work in wildlife conservation and during hunting season(which runs from october through december) I have very little time for myself. Anyway, found this small farm pond which allowed me to catch the reflections of those beautiful cloud formations. Thanks for looking and best wishes to all!!!!

A site so beautiful you could just sit and watch it all day.... in fact i did just that.
caught in a fleeting moment, this scene captures a man mid-stride, stepping through the interplay of light and shadow on a sunlit street. his figure is mirrored perfectly in the wet pavement below, creating a dual reality where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. the reflection ripples slightly, as if the street itself were contemplating his movement. the sharp contrast of black and white adds drama, pulling attention to the textures of the wet cobblestones and the crisp silhouette of the walker. the urban backdrop, with its shop signs and shadows, frames the scene, grounding it in the vibrant chaos of everyday city life. it is a moment of quiet poetry amidst the rush, a snapshot of human existence reflected in the heart of the city.

The show is split into three acts. Chaos which depicts the creation of the planet Earth and features the Inferno Barge. Order which features the appearance of the Earth Globe (lower right) . As the Earth cools, it changes from hot white to red to blue. Images appear on the Globe of countries, famous places, objects, and people. Meaning which features the Earth Globe opens revealing a torch and many fireworks are ignited.
The score of ROE was written by Gavin Greenaway and the show was produced and directed by Don Dorsey. If you have not seen this show, I highly recommend it as it my favorite night time show at WDW.
