This little pond is one of my favorite spots to go for relaxation and reflection. It is quite secluded and happens to be home to a lot of very large bluegill.

The sun came out today for the first time in a while. I was able to take this in the breezeway. Shizandra loved it! The little green circle is the reflection of the sun on my camera lens.
Tonight I wasn't going to post or even visit for that matter because today I started a new job, I worked this afternoon till 9:30pm...but I came on for a bit because I'm too wound up to sleep lol so I thought I'd just repay some visits...but then I thought, I might as well post something!
This is a photo taken the same day as the last three photos...this is also from the Adelaide Botanical Gardens...
I have never taken a photo of Autumn colours' reflections and I couldn't believe how beautiful and artistic, these reflections were...I hope you like them too!

moments of reflection. these reflections were also simply irresistible, specially when the waters are calm and the skies are blue

Thanks for looking! I appreciate feedback.
At Callaway Gardens there are many trails winding around many beautiful lakes, so much to see there never seems to be enough to take it all in.
Looking across this lake I was amazed by reflections of the trees, the water so calm it was almost like reflections in a mirror.
To my surprise I also spotted a Great Blue Heron on the bank, nearly hidden by the shadows. If you look closely you can see him, too.
Just come back from having two lovely days in the Lakes. I missed the best of the autumn colours at Tarn Hows unfortunately but the reflections were stunning.

Reflections on a calm morning at Jackson Lake.
What attracted me to this scene, apart from the mirror-like quality of the water, is the burst of orange in the middle of the frame.

Reflection of San Remo Towers on the Central Park Lake, New York.
The 2nd largest man-made body of water in the Park (the Reservoir is the largest), the Lake was created originally from a large swamp.
The most popular use of the lake today is for row boating and the sturdy vessels can be rented at the Loeb Boathouse at the northeast corner of the Lake. Probably the best way to experience the variety of terrains that surround the man made body of water is a boat trip, and there are few greater pleasures to be had in Central Park then a leisurely cruise around the shoreline. Around the lake you can see places as diverse as the Bethesda Terrace, the Loeb Boathouse, the Bow Bridge or Hernshead, not to mention the fauna which includes ducks, mallards and a rather extended family of turtles. For the many years preceding the construction of Wollman Rink in 1951 the Lake was also the center of ice-skating in the park. This was a wildly popular diversion, especially at the turn of the century when as many as 40,000 people were reported to have skated in one day. It offered New Yorkers valuable exercise, as well as a socially acceptable place to socialize (although for many years one end of the lake was designated strictly for use by women).
