After seeing the results of the first contact sheet, I tried again, this time jacking the filters on the enlarger up to +160M and +100C. It's better!
This was my final piece in my advanced painting class. I mostly used some form of typography in the class. I had to use a projector I bought at hobby lobby in order to get the fonts such a big size.

Another night practicing and refining my techniques for live music photography. There’s still a long way to go but it’s been amazing to have such a great opportunity to take photos. So many thanks to Allen and the rest of the Biscuits for having me. Here’s a shot of Allen hard at work being the amazing drummer, and human being, that he is.
Refining of the interior of the outrigger continues. A fitting for a chain saw, which was to quickly smooth the interior did not fit any of the chain saws on hand, so work continued using hatchets and chisels, and power sander. Gluing the two pieces together has been delayed a day as a result, but doesn't significantly delay work.
I spent more time refining the picture I took of one of my mother's cats (previous version: www.flickr.com/photos/woodythrower/3802485946/), this time with the intention of getting it printed. I think the previous version looks better at low resolution, but this one is destined for print, so I spent time refining details. (The little dots on the nose, for example.)

The material and form offers important thermal and accoustic properties for indoor spaces. The complex surface was produced by self-generative computer designs and digitial crevices could be occupied by plants and wildlife, helping them to thrive within an urban environment.

We all know waste is a big problem. So how are we going to fix it?
A new generation of designers is rethinking our relationship to everyday things. From fashion to food, electronics to construction, even packaging - finding the lost value in our trash and imagining a future of clean materials and a circular economy could point the way out of the Waste Age.
Explore major new exhibits that capture the devastating impact of waste including a large-scale art installation by Ibrahim Mahama made from e-waste in Ghana.
The exhibition showcases some of the visionary designers who are reinventing our relationship with waste, including Formafantasma, Stella McCartney, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Lacaton & Vassal, Fernando Laposse, Bethany Williams, Phoebe English and Natsai Audrey Chieza.
'We must face the problem of waste – we can no longer ignore what happens to things when we get rid of them. Instead of thinking of objects as things that have an end life, they can have many lives.
