The Kendall Refining Company was founded in 1881 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, with the goal of refining local Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil into kerosene, lubricants and greases. With more than 125 years of experience to draw upon, Kendall Motor Oil has led the industry with a number of significant firsts.
In 1928, Kendall introduced the first oil designated for winter use as well as the first 2,000-mile motor oil (unprecedented at a time when the standard was 500-1,000 miles), and later developed the first pre-packaged, factory-sealed, one-quart oil can.
Kendall’s innovative spirit remains vitally strong today. Our exclusive new titanium-strength engine oils give drivers a new way to protect engines against wear and reduce friction.
Refining the time lapse off the E-P2...
This time, it was set to fire every 5 seconds. and complied at 720p at 25fps. I should have exposed for the sun, but its been raining all day and didnt expect it to pop out like that.
Much nicer and smoother then the last and this time with a feel good soundtrack! :P
Shot with the Olympus E-P2 with a Voigtlander 35mm f2.5 Color Skopar "C" lens. The remote limited me to only 399 pictures, which is short. I guess next time I will have to keep an eye on it and start it up again as soon as its done.
After the first few sketches of the new shape, I immediately set out figuring out how to make this work, and how I would tackle drawing this in Illustrator.

The CSIS Energy and National Security Program is pleased to host a conference focused on the latest developments in the crude oil export debate as well as the role of refining (both domestic and globally) in finding an economically viable home for US light oil production. As debates heat up over domestic policy choices affecting both the upstream and downstream sectors, the need for informed (and perhaps more detailed) discussion has become increasingly important. This conference seeks to both inform and supplement the debate on two issues that will have a large impact on the future domestic U.S. energy landscape as well as global investment going forward.
The Refining panel will provide a primer on the U.S. refining sector, addressing refinery configurations, operations and economics; the ability of the domestic and global refining system to accommodate additional light oil production and some of the implications of investment choices and oil flows in the near and medium terms.

atellite Meeting – IFLA World Library and Information Congress
Information Literacy Section and Reference & Information Services Section
August 15-16, 2013, National Library Building, Singapore
Main Theme: “Re-defining and Refining Information Literacy and Reference Services in the Digital Age”
In today’s digital age, reference services and information literacy (IL) are more interconnected and relevant than ever. Librarians are required to improve their own IL competency to provide better IL instruction to users, leading to increasingly digital-savvy users who are able to find information on their own. As a result, librarians are faced with fewer but more difficult reference enquiries. With the growth of digital materials, users are gaining more direct access to information – creating a shift in resources from reference services to IL, research assistance and outreach – a true challenge for reference services.
Additionally, the rapid development of digital and social media tools has brought about new innovations such as virtual reference, instant messaging, and other forms of online engagement – each of which brings its own challenges and opportunities.

Over the past couple months, I've been hard at work refining the final version of Gary Rosenquist's famous sequence, using a blend of AI-based image enhancement techniques and refining the original existing images. The software used is Topaz Photo AI, Vance AI, and Adobe Photoshop.
Throughout the course of this project, I've suffered a few catastrophes, too. A failed motherboard on my high-end laptop in May, followed by the loss of one fork of the project on the hard drive out of that laptop, was recovered by a saved backup. Using that backup, I rebuilt the entire sequence from the ground up.
This is the final version of the sequence, beginning at 8:32:47 a.m on May 18, 1980.
The final edits included a subdued sky to more closely match the original sequence, and a more accurate enhancement to the foreground trees based on the actual sequence.
