REDUX 2018
Theme "Flame"
For this weeks theme I decided to revisit the theme of Flame that we tackled back on January 29th.
Considering the time of year we are currently in I decided to set fire to a bauble by crushing the ends of matchsticks and then sticking it all around the outside of a Bauble and then light it. I set the ambient exposure for the flames and used my flash to light the Bauble. The flames are all around the outside and this generated some smoke too.
It turned out okay although I may have been better using a Bauble which was a different colour to the smoke.
The framing turned out to be 3 inches on the shortest side of the photo so to be legal I had to crop to square format.
My favorite theme from 2018 is "Ready for the day". It was my best viewed photo this year, so this seems to me a good reason to revive this theme. Happy New Year and HMM.

Transistors are great multicolours and they are inside electronics, two themes in MM this year. Colours are codes: white is 9, yellow is 4, violet is 7 and red is 2... did you know?

Actually I wanted to shoot a photo for the theme "flame". When I had finished shooting I was looking through the captures. And one photo was dragging my attention. Because in the smoke of the extinguished flame I saw the appearance of this ghostly looking face.
Nothing is artificially changed or added in its form. I had to crop the original capture very much. But It`s really genuine and creepy :-)
And I think this capture fits the Redux 2018 theme "Trick or Treat" with its ghouls and ghosts an other spookie creatures.

...to my gear. Here Double Exposure for the MacroMondays Redux 2018 -theme. I used to make a lot of double exposures with film cameras. Not so many anymore with the digital. So here I refer to the double exposure theme, althought this could be in many other themes also....
"Did I see and listen Mic Drop from BTS too many times, and dropped my camera...Shit. It is only the uv-filter that is in peaces, but the drop damaged also the autofocus from the lens, and I can't get the filter off. Camera still works though... R.I.P. for that lens with the light of the warm candle."

I have chosen Decay as my favourite theme of the year (Redux).
My subject is an old decaying clothes peg spring on top of my rusty old barrow.

I never got to post an image for June 11th's theme of "Hand Tool". Off all the things in the workshop, this may be one of the more mundane items in the shop, but it gets the most regular use. HMM!!
This image consists of a top section of a small plastic 'Steam Punk' type clock, the section shown only measures 2.5 inches X 2.5 inches.
It's a really unique clock with lot's of cogs on show, in fact all the workings are on show and turning every which way!
I bought this clock at a boot sale it looked so unusual, most people who see it comment about the "great fun clock".
