The graduating class 2012 der Neuen Schule für Fotografie Berlin under the guidance of Eva Maria Ocherbauer is exploring creative concepts of fundamental questions. The fast pace of our life and the resulting transient perception is critically questioned, the speed reduced and the active participation of the beholder is demanded.
The exhibition "In Search Of" is a lyrical trip into the world of perception. The artistic works explore the relation between individual and object, lead to encounters with the unkown, alien and your own self - sometimes documentary and sometimes artificially arranged . A somnambulistic view, undisguised, naive and full astonishing fascination for the other, that is often closer to us than we would expect. Situations of encounter and confrontation with your own psyche are seen next to humoristic approaches and aesthetic discoveries. Contemplative and fantasy inspiring,the pictures assemble their own stories and revive moments of memories.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue.

Die Studierenden der Abschlussklasse 2012 der Neuen Schule für Fotografie Berlin unter Leitung von Eva Maria Ocherbauer beschäftigen sich mit der Suche nach Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten existentieller Fragestellungen. Die Rasanz
unseres Lebens und die daraus resultierende Flüchtigkeit der Wahrnehmung wird kritisch hinterfragt, das Tempo gedrosselt und die aktive Beteiligung des Betrachters gefordert.
Die Ausstellung in search of beschreibt eine gefühlvolle Reise in die Welt der Wahrnehmung. Die ausgestellten Arbeiten untersuchen das Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Objekt, führen zu Begegnungen mit dem Unbekannten, dem Fremden und dem eigenen Selbst – mal dokumentarisch, mal inszeniert. Ein traumwandlerischer Blick, unverstellt, naiv und voll staunender Faszination für das Andere, das uns oftmals näher ist, als wir vermuten. Situationen der Begegnung und der Konfrontation mit der eigenen Psyche stehen neben humoristischen Annäherungen und ästhetischen Entdeckungen. Kontemplativ und Fantasie anregend setzen sich die Bilder zu eigenen Geschichten zusammen und lassen Momente der Erinnerung aufleben.

Integrated Great American Outdoors Act Team – Regional Office
The Integrated GAOA team enabled the region to receive nearly $40,000 to reduce deferred maintenance across a range of recreation opportunities and settings enjoyed by the public. Thanks to the work of the team, our GAOA projects are the right work, in the right places, at the right time, for the right reasons.
The Southern Region is the largest manager of public lands in the South, receiving more than 32 million visits each year from members of the public seeking to access the benefits provided by nature. With more than 900 developed recreation sites, 11,000 miles of trail, and a vast network of dams, roads, and bridges that enable access to hunting, fishing, and memory-making, the Southern Region’s forests provide immense benefits to communities and individuals.
Unfortunately, the infrastructure that supports sustainable enjoyment is in disrepair across the region, threatening visitor access, enjoyment, and, in some cases, safety. To alleviate some of these challenges, the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) was enacted.
“This investment challenges the region to navigate a great deal of process uncertainty, tight timelines, forest and district level capacity constraints, political interest at the highest levels, and constant strategic and tactical challenges,” said Mark Meng, director of Engineering for the Southern Region.
The Integrated GAOA team for the Southern Region recently received a 2021 Regional Forester’s Honor Award for their extreme attention to detail coupled with a big picture view and strategic lens.
Team members guided the forests in all aspects of GAOA from project submittal to project competition, including front and backend data management. Hundreds of projects ranging from roads, bridges, visitor centers, trails, campgrounds, public facing administrative facilities, dams, water systems, and bath houses, were evaluated as the team prioritized improving the total experience of the visiting public.
“The team honored the regional goal of improving places where multiple assets contribute together to a cohesive, safe, and sustainable recreation opportunity,” said Meng. “Thanks to the work of the team, our GAOA projects are the right work, in the right places, at the right time, for the right reasons.”
The Southern Region’s approach to GAOA emphasized leveraging external capacity through partnership and contracts. The team worked across staff sections throughout the forests to actualize this approached and received nearly $40,000 to reduce deferred maintenance across a range of recreation opportunities and settings enjoyed by the public.
It was just plopped at the curb, holding several bags of household garbage, so I carefully took out the trash and brough it how. Now garden tasks, like weeding, are a whole lot easier since everything can be tossed in to the wagon before being hauled over to the compost.

Tenemos la costumbre de guardar casi todos los envases que utilizamos, del material que sea, pueden ser útiles después para cualquier cosa además de que nos hace sentir que contribuimos aunque sea con un granito de arena a la pacha mama :)
Ayer saqué varias latas de atún, maíz, etc que tenía guardadas y decidí hacer algo creativo con ellas… las convertí en porta-lápices, aunque realmente puedes guardar cualquier cosa, por ejemplo, las utilicé también para guardar mis liguitas de cabello que siempre las ando botando.
Me parece que quedaron bien lindas…
