Over time, artists are reduced to the messages carried in their work. The artists as individuals are often lost to time. The artist - as a human being - can only survive if they are present in their work. It is hypothesized that as light moves away from earth, each moment of time is preserved as a pattern of light at a certain distance from it's source. In this way, every moment of time is archived, visually, in space. In his work, artist William Kentridge erases and redraws parts of his charcoal drawings, and photographs the changes, creating an animated film. The evidence of previous phases of the drawing are never entirely eliminated, alluding to the influence of the past on the future. However, by examining an artist's body of work as a whole you find that each work on it's own is representative of a point in the artists life. An artists body of work is an almost autobiographical archive of their ideas. Often the viewer only experiences the most recent or sensational contributions of an artist, and is consequently left with a very limited understanding of the artist's ideas, and little to no understanding of the artist himself. In this way, society may strip an artist of his identity, and reduce him to the most popular characteristic of his public body of work.
It was just plopped at the curb, holding several bags of household garbage, so I carefully took out the trash and brough it how. Now garden tasks, like weeding, are a whole lot easier since everything can be tossed in to the wagon before being hauled over to the compost.
I've all-but banished the regular plastic grocery bag from my life. I've got an ever-growing collection of canvas bags that I use to haul groceries, and I've even gotten to the point where it's automatic to take them to the store, but for the longest time I've been trying to find a solution to bringing home more fruit and vegetable bags from the produce section. Over the holiday break I finally found reusable bags designed for fruits and vegies! They're super-light so you don't end up paying tons more for your produce, and they're mesh, so the checker can easily see what's in the bag.

At extreme slow speeds, the spin of a record player is reduced to a glacial crawl, the music to seismic rumbling. A beat may last a minute, and the tiny slices of silence between them become ambient voids. On each day of the Festival a different record was played, from Ravel to The Sex Pistols to Ornette Coleman, slowed down to the length of the gallery opening hours. With this work Finer continues his interest in long-durational processes and extremes of scale.
Biography
Jem Finer is a UK-based artist, musician and composer. Since studying computer science in the 1970s, he has worked in a variety of fields, including photography, film, music and installation. His 1000-year long musical composition, Longplayer, represents a convergence of many of his concerns, particularly those relating to systems, long-durational processes and extremes of scale in both time and space.
Among his other works is Score For a Hole In the Ground, a permanent, self-sustaining musical installation in a forest in Kent which relies only on gravity and the elements to be audible. Between 2003 and 2005 he was artist in residence in the Astrophysics Department of Oxford University, making a number of works including two sculptural observatories, Landscope and The Centre of the Universe. Recent work, focusing on his interest in long-term sustainability and the reconfiguring of older technologies, includes Spiegelei, a 360-degree spherical camera obscura.

Ayer saqué varias latas de atún, maÃz, etc que tenÃa guardadas y decidà hacer algo creativo con ellas… las convertà en porta-lápices, aunque realmente puedes guardar cualquier cosa, por ejemplo, las utilicé también para guardar mis liguitas de cabello que siempre las ando botando.
Me parece que quedaron bien lindas…
